We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Maharaja Tandoori Indian restaurant once again. The food was amazing and plentiful. The waitress that served us was friendly and very accommodating. Food and drinks came out quickly. Service was excellent. Thank you for a lovely evening. We always look forward to eating at your lovely restaurant every time we are in Port Macquarie. You always know a great restaurant when the plates are empty!!!

Good value Indian restaurant near the water. I found the service to be quick and efficient, even on a busy Friday night. The food was tasty and the staff were friendly.

We went there on Saturday night for dinner. Restaurant was half empty and still it took 1.5 hours for food to arrive. We did not order anything fancy, just the normal food. Still we had to wait for ridiculously long time. Staff was very arrogant and did not answer us well when we asked about expected time for serving food. Food taste was okay, just like any other average indian restaurant. Cherry on top was: My curry had a plastic piece in it and the staff blatantly answered “It must be from a box”. I was left speechless by this remark. I would never recommend this place. Waste of time and money.

  1. It is best to book in advance.
They still accommodated a group of 8.
Kids loved it, adults loved it, vegetarians loved it, meat eaters loved it, snacks, main course and sweet dish, ?
    The combination is awesome.
We ordered Dal Makhani, Medium Butter Chicken, naans, roti and kadaahi paneer.

    In addition, papri chaat.

The food was awesome, the ambience amazing, and desi food in Port Macquarie.

Must try once and form your own opinion.

    Message how it goes.

    Cheers

  2. Been here twice now and both times the food has been really good! We are very happy with the quality and the service and now we don’t have to travel all the way to the city for decent Indian food. Tandoori Kitchen is definitely the only Indian locally we would get.

  3. We arrived late (8:30 pm) but still had the opportunity to eat a lovely meal. Locals had recommended this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious! The sauces with vegetables were authentic Indian cuisine. The nan bread had a generous layer of cheese & garlic and tasted yummie too. I can recommend this restaurant to everyone who likes Indian food.

  4. Omg we just had the best night at the tandoori kitchen, it was my friends bday, and she picked this restaurant, I haven’t been there before, but we will definitely be back!
The food was absolutely amazing, the staff were so lovely and accommodating, even my 10yro daughter said “I loved that can we please come here again!”
Thanks for making my friends bday special for the amazing food and lovely service xx

  5. The restaurant does good food. I like their curry and bread. My daughter is not into curry but she likes the very mild flavour of chicken 66 and rice and papadum.
I prefer to eat more curry in the winter than summer.
