in the last weekEveryone I met in store today was lovely and friendly and helpful, I was exchanging an item and the service desk and Chris in my opinion was nothing short of rude, I’m not sure if maybe she was having a bad day but I was trying to have conversation as I was waiting and I was blanked she left my items on the side while I tried to pack time and started speaking to the customer behind me moving my clothes while I was still packing them! Manners cost nothing and this has given me a bad reflection of the whole store now.3 months agoI can’t find anywhere else to provide this feedback so I guess I’ll post it here. Had a fantastic customer service experience this morning. Helen (I think her name was) on self service checkouts was friendly, helpful and cheerful. There was an incident when I first entered the store and she handled it professionally and with respect. Would like to have given this feedback directly to the store but not sure how. Great work Helen ?2 months agoWhat great staff! Firstly Brooke went above and beyond to find a product that wasn’t on the shelf. Then Perina(?) asked me if I needed help because I was looking lost. Can’t remember the last time I had received such amazing customer service. I love Big W.3 months agoI was able to get a quarter of my Christmas list done for less than I expected, which really helps. Today it was a bit crowded but it seemed like the staff were exhausted. If you come to this store please remember that this is very close to Christmas and the staff are working very hard to complete tasks and be of service.a month agoChange of contact number to 1300 means you can’t speak to a person after 6pm AEST, because the automatic bot is closed. Meanwhile, Perth stores are still open til 9pm, but you can’t speak to anyone because of the stupid 1300 number covering all stores.

huge store with pretty much “everything”, including some outdoor furniture. the toys section is small, but surprisingly well stocked. prices are pretty decent, and staff (that i’ve interacted with) are very friendly and helpful.
they also have a ‘Greenhouse’ section where all the small potted plants (and some gardening stuff) are. decent range and variety of plants too.
They’ve got everything you need for your home & more.
Staff were very helpful in finding what we were looking for. Even to the point of informing us when their ‘out-of-stock’ Wheelchair Barbie was due to be arriving again. Great selection of Barbies to the extent that we had to purchase a Ken doll that comes with a prosthetic leg!
How can one not help but feel they make everyone feel included after seeing that..!
An unusually depressing store in desperate need of a refurb. You’d think with WW record profits they could dump a bit of money into making their stores more appealing and pay their staff more.
Is the electronics counter even staffed any more? I went past there 3 times today and it was empty. Finally saw someone there on the 4th walk past, there was a queue so I joined it. The staff member was an older woman who just radiated “I don’t want to be here” despite the patient customers she was serving.
When it got to my turn she said
“I’ll be right back”
Then she went out the back, grabbed a trolley of stock and tried to sneak past me to go put it away.
I saw you go, you weren’t as subtle as you thought.
I just stood there for a while in complete disbelief. Eventually I just found another team member to help me with my question. I just wanted to know how much a smart watch was because it didn’t have a price tag.
Seriously, it took maybe a minute and the item was locked up so I couldn’t use the price check machines.
Really poor customer service, it felt like I was a burden, not a customer.
My regular store. Not sure why it was noticeably short staffed this morning! Check out was closed. Thanks to Susan, a dedicated employee, who, as always was very helpful. As a front line person for Big W she exudes exemplary customer service.
