a month agoPlease people do not waste your hard earned here. This morning i got a standard bacon and eggs for breakfast and a latte. The latte was burnt and bitter to the taste, i could not even finish. the bacon and eggs come out on one slice of sour dough cut in half and an egg on each half. Sour dough was tough to cut and seemed over toasted. Not sure why normal bread can’t be used for toast for breakfast at coffee club. No wonder it was empty when i walked in, it is a complete waste of money. Some of these places think just anyone can cook for them but it actually kills their business. Hire an actual chef or someone with commercial cooking experience please. Hiring a barista wouldn’t go astray either. Better places around. Doesn’t deserve one star.6 months agoIt’s like they put all the food in the oven for 4-5 business days to burn everything and then took it out for another 4-5 business days for it to go cold. Please see the photo of this “delicious” “runny” “poached egg”. Whoever gave the chef permission to “cook” anything needs to take a good look at themselves.3 months agoNot just once or twice but the coffee for take away always tasted like milk and a little bit of coffee and a lot of syrup. My standard coffee is skinny hazelnut flatwhite. Hope they improve the balance. Only a few places nail it very well.2 months agoRude person at the cashier, she was condescending when I gave my order and gave us a table number when I looked, there was somebody there , so when I looked to choose another table, she said to hurry up as people were waiting. She made a point of walking to my table which was furthest from the cashier to ask me to take my leg down, I had rested my calves on the chair as my foot was sore due to nerve pain.. the chair was not getting dirty as it was my leggings touching it not my shoes , she said she doesn’t wanna serve me. I returned my coffee that I hadn’t touched and she gave me a refund. Horrible experience.2 years agoWorst cafe I’ve ever been. A pizza is just some cheese and meat on a toasted wrap. Only give one servette for a three person lunch and reluctant to give more, watery coffee… Fast food is way better than this cafe.

I mean the food is cheap but lacking quality. Eggs are scrambled in a way that somehow tastes so bad. Smashed avo for 12-13$ is good price, but look at the photos, it’s just a small Turkish bread and some avocado on top. I know a lot of people who love coffee club food, but to me this is just low quality cheap food. I rated 2/5 because they coffee is not too bad and the customer service is acceptable.
If you want good chain coffee and not much else then this is the place for you!
The coffee is (surprisingly) good for a chain, but nothing exciting. There is latte art though, so it’s immediately better than some places!
We also had a mango smoothie, which tasted vaguely of banana for some reason, as well as ice. Pretty awful.
We didn’t try much of the food, however we did have scones, which came with jam in small plastic packets and whipped cream instead of clotted cream. It didn’t taste any better than it sounds, not good!
The place was in dire need of a makeover, as well as a good clean. The outside tables were dirty both from previous guests and bird poo, so not good at all. The other clientele seemed to be exclusively pensioners, not sure what that means exactly.
They did have a highchair (and were just about the only place nearby that did), so they at always get points for that!
Nothing like a coffee from a chipped mug and sitting on worn out seats. As others have said, this CC is in dire need of a makeover and a good clean. Tables & table condiments are always greasy looking and not cleaned properly. Only stopped here because Cafe Cherry Beans was closed at the time – it’s far superior.
The menu is quite tricky, which only lists prices of small sizes of drinks and food. And the waitress at the counter placed order for large portions without telling me and then charged me for $6 more although I only ordered the small sizes based on the menu. Very unhappy about the misleading menu and service attitude.
The food was nice, although each coffee club must serve the meals slightly differently, although the menus are the same.
There was also a credit card surcharge on top of the bill, that I was not made aware of until I had tapped my card. I did mention that perhaps a surcharge applies sign might be useful for customers to view ,before deciding to pay cash or card.
