Bad experience ever, will never come again and never recommended to anyone. I ordered burrito bowl the rice was hard are dry, When you ask for sauces they say two sauces and put only two drops. I asked them to put more they you have to pay $50 cents extra. I don’t understand how much these guys will save to provide proper condiments.

Very bad experience, I don’t feel like to talk that guy that what he serves – as he was so arrogant while serving ?

Excellent food which is freshly made. All the ingredients used on our burrito was fresh and tasty!

Everything is portioned so might not satisfy your hunger cravings. Taste was definitely great!

Complete rip-off. Not even 50 gm rice scoop and 50 gm meat portion. Rest with the lettuce and grass. Charged 13.40 for nothing. Quantity is way too less and charge way more than they had to. Never gonna come back to this store again. Taste is also not top just average. I have never seen places saying extra money for adding lettuce.

I will never step foot in this restaurant again, the service was disgusting and both girls last night were rude and refused to serve us. My daughter lined up at the wrong end of the store and when I questioned this after 15 min wait, staff replied words to the effect of “ can’t she read the sign”, absolutely appalling, we had 10 of us who chose not to eat there. Staff need retraining and to be reminded of their manner and customer service. We then chose to eat at the neighbouring restaurant where staff continued to stare and laugh at us and made abusive comments to me and my young children.

5 Replies to Exploring the Best of Zambrero in Sydney, Australia

  1. The food was tasty, but unfortunately there is no care taken putting it together and portions are appalling. This is their version of a “burrito bowl”… Basically one tablespoon of each ingredient. This is not a once-off either – this is my this order in a row like this. Really disappointing as the other Zambrero branches I’ve tried have been much better.

  2. It was my first time having a burrito – that’s important information because that one missing star is a personal issue!

The personnel was great and really friendly!
All the ingredients were fresh and you can add or remove almost anything (I ordered online).
I didn’t take a spicy sauce, I didn’t add jalapeños and was hoping it wouldn’t be spicy (I didn’t know some of the other ingredients and if they were spicy).
It still was spicy, so I don’t know how to get one that’s not spicy but other than that, the food was good as well!

  3. Lovely service and lots of nice options. Was left feeling rather satisfied, with a full tum tum ? decently priced and very good portions. The regular was more than enough, glad we didn’t go large. Much better than Mad Mex honestly – feels fresher and has so many more options. Would recommend for sure! ??

  4. As a person who has lived in Mexico for over 2 years I could not call this food Mexican at all. It is too bland to qualify. Most disappointed was the Chicken which would offend all Mexican everywhere as it had the consistency of finely ground meat and that is nothing a Mexican would ever abide. A true Mexican would grab the flag from Chapultepec castle and plummet to their death with the Niños Heroes rather than call that slurry “Pollo.”

  5. Very disappointed with the food, considering the premium cost. The beans were undercooked, and the amount was meager given how expensive it was relative to nearby places.

Do not recommend at all – support another business.
