a month agoI am driving from Sydney to Canberra today and stopped in Goulburn to break up the trip. I stumbled across this cafe and I’m so glad I did!!! The food is sensational, the staff are so friendly and helpful and the cafe has such history and character. If you want tasty, home cooked food and lovely staff then stop here!2 months agoThe staff exhibited exceptional kindness and politeness, and the location was simply splendid. While the chai latte was acceptable, the beef mushroom pie was disappointingly dry, and I noticed only half a mushroom inside.5 months agoWe were blow away by this stunning venue. Definitely a go to in Goulburn, for (daytime) coffee, a meal or even a drink, you can’t beat the atmosphere of this impeccably restored space. We enjoyed brunch on our first visit and the service was good, too. We will be back.a week agoVisited here for breakfast on a trip to Melbourne. Food was lovely and servings are very filing. Solid pie and sweet options. Steak cheese and bacon pie was delicious. Apple turnover dipped in cream was a good choice, custard tart a bit dry but did the job. Overall reliable establishment
Had veggie pie which was good. Hope it was more crispy. The apple and almond twist is too sweet for me. New York Rye skin is a bit hard and chewy for my liking. The atmosphere is nice and super spacious.
Honestly the best pie I’ve ever had in my life. Also the cheese and bacon twist! Oh my God.

Chunky steak pie was amazing with big chunks of steak. Caramel slice was the best I’d had in ages.
They didn’t have free self service water like most cafes do.
I didn’t see a dog water bowl or place you could eat with a dog. But I might have missed this.
It’s good, but also very standard. I would’ve liked to see more vegetarian friendly options rather than just one because although delicious, it was a bit too acidic for what I’m craving for in a pie. The chunks of vegetables were big, and the pastry was ok
