3 weeks agoWarning for how long drinks take would be good when you’re waiting in the heat of summer.I ordered drinks and food and it took 20 minutes before I got a drink. I was extremely thirsty on a hot summer day. Managing to find a server for attention was difficult and when I asked for at least the complimentary water while I waited I was assured I would get one. It NEVER came.
When the drinks finally arrived I had to drink them a lot faster than I wanted. But I will compliment that the drinks made were lovely. Potentially worth the delay if you’re visiting on a cool day.
The food however was not worth the cost. I watched the food sit for 5 minutes before it was actually collected. Their lasagne is strong with tomato and not a lot of anything else, there is no balance or offset with cheese sauce or white sauce. Nor was there a lot of mince. If you like tomato flavour then you may enjoy this tomato paste on pasta.
Garlic bread…. the bread was really lovely and so was the butter and garlic, but unfortunately it really overpowered a bit by the salt. I’ve never actually experienced a place putting salt on their garlic bread, let alone so much that it championed the butter and garlic.
Overall don’t be in a hurry for drinks. And maybe drinks should be the main reason to visit.
2 months agoI absolutely love coming to Rashays, at Riverlink North Ipswich . The service is always great and friendly. I can sit and relax, have a nice cold beer & a yummy meal!7 months agoFriendly staff welcomed me to a relaxed setting on the balcony of Riverlink Shopping Centre, overlooking the Brisbane River. Dining can be inside or outside under cover, depending on your choice. I enjoyed a breakfast of eggs Benedict on sour dough bread with hollandaise sauce. The eggs were the wonderful orange of free range eggs and very flavoursome. The coffee was hot and the flavour was robust.a month agoGreat food, great service, and a very relaxed environment, in a large area with lots of comfortable tables. Besides that, very nice ambience music!4 months agoOrdered food on Uber eats literally not a single sole in sight & you’d think the food would be at least average, nope cold bland undersized overcharged food. Not happy at all & all Uber would do was refund me $1.70 for a $39 meal!! Imagine I’d ordered a steak or something I ordered a parmy & I think a 5 yr old would still eat more

Tried the Palak paneer & it was the freshest curry i’ve ever had. They seem to cater to an “English” audience at Taringa so the use of spice was different to put it nicely – but for a restaurant meal, it was pretty good. But the highlight was the service and ambiance. Ask for Raveena when you’re there. Her hospitality was something i’ve never experienced at an Indian Restaurant (perhaps because she was Nepalese).
Highly recommended!!!
Awesome customer service and the food tastes very orthentic and plenty of meat in each serve.
Fantastic. Definitely worth it. And will keep
returning ?
The restaurant is very beautiful. The goat curry was very juicy and tender. The entree deep fried fish was fresh and tasty. Cheese naan was my daughter’s favourite. Indian style Mango ice cream was a must try after the meal. Chai smells really nice. The waiter was very attentive.
A lovely Indian in the middle of Ipswich. Situated in a beautiful building.
Staff were super nice too.
Food delicious, it was that good I forgot a picture ? ? ?
We had lamb bhuna and goan fish. Both lovely sauces and heaps of meat.
My husband and I were recommended by our accommodation provider to this restaurant. It certainly is in a beautiful setting in what was an old bank and the overall feel and look being quite majestic. There are also options to sit outside.
The food was tasty and we enjoyed all of the dishes that we had. When we ordered and requested the dishes to be hot and spicy, eyebrows were raised and confirmation of our request given. Unfortunately this was not followed through and although pleasant the dishes were not hot. Would certainly recommend as an enjoyable experience overall.
