  1. One of the best libraries I have been so far. I was backpacking and chose to work from here. The facilities are really helpful to all the people here. Staffs in general are very warm and helpful. They pay attention to detail very much and even if you are doing a meeting offer you with earplugs.(I appreciate this proactiveness)

Very clean space, huge, free wifi, meeting rooms, desks with electric plugs, space for kids to play, Water refill station, clean toilets, also lively.
Love the music that is played at the last 30 mins ( very soothing)

Best place to read books/spend time/working when in Cairns City. They are located very close to lagoon. Easily accessible.

  2. A fantastic resource sadly being misused. During the three visits I made to this library, I heard people swearing, using the phones on loud speaker and several people who looked possibly homeless who were after a cool place to sleep with some also needing a bath and possibly cough medicine. A real shame as I know people need help but not in a library! Lovely old building and friendly staff..

  3. Lovely air-conditioned place to escape the heat. Open everyday of the week albeit only until midday on Saturday and Sunday.
There is free wifi and also computers to use. Plenty of desks, chairs and couches depending on what you are going to the library for. Most of the times there isn’t much noise and there is plenty of available space.
