4 months agoLovely area for a scroll along the length of The Strand. Lots of activities basketball court, few playgrounds, couple of beaches with showers for wash off. Cafes and Ice cream bars along the water edge.Great to see all ages using this facility. Good one Townsville Council.
4 months agoNice place with ample parking, could really do with a lot more shaded areas. Nice safe place for a swim, also lacks real change rooms.12 months agoGood place for family. Seating areas, nice pool, boats there, scooters for rent.Enough parking. My boys love the flying fox, so much fun. There is also a nice walking track. Beautiful views of Magnetic Island ?️8 months agoIf you’re visiting Townsville, I highly recommend visiting this spot. It is laid back, picturesque and a beautiful part of town. There are ample walk trails, parking and family friendly areas too.5 months agoMight have to try it out for a dip soon. Coffee shop across the road stocks Cascade Tonic Water. The Best. Good view from rock steps half way up to kissing Point.

Quite clearly one of the best parks available. Unfortunately not close to home, since it’s about 5000km of travel, so taking the dogs might be an issue for me. Beautiful views, with same and water and islands all in frame.
Will return as soon as possible.
It’s a park when it is along the coast of townvilles. Plenty of parking spots outside the park so you can park there and have a walk
The park provides different facilities such as a playground, restroom, water park or you can swim in the sea too. But please be aware of the jellyfish
All the facilities are pretty well maintained
You can bring your dog to have a walk there too but it must be on leash
Overall its a good place to walk around if you have extra time in Townsville
Beautiful area. We were fortunate enough to see some black cockatoos here.
Cool for kids cause it is for kids Water playground fun, safe, wet lol
bbqs tables to sit at right near the ocean, but you can’t swim there jellyfish
Despite lots of debris from the recent cyclone, it is still a great place for a walk. The red tailed black cockatoos were out in force.
