Korora is a suburb of the City of Coffs Harbour in New South Wales, Australia, located 6 km north of the city centre. Korora is located in a basin that runs from the foothills of the Great Dividing Range in the west to Korora Bay (part of the Tasman Sea) in the east. It is bisected by the Pacific Highway, which runs south to north between Sydney and Brisbane. The section of Korora between the Pacific Highway and the coast is mainly residential, with some tourist facilities. The section west of the Highway consists of larger residential blocks and farms growing mainly bananas and blueberries. The west-most section of Korora is forested and includes part of the Ulidarra National Park. The Korora basin is drained by creeks that flow into Pine Brush Creek and enter the sea at Hills Beach.
The name Korora stems from an Aboriginal word ‘Kurrawa’ which has been variously interpreted to mean “rough sea or seas”, “sound of the waves” or “roar of the seas”. The variant spelling ‘Kororo’ is found in some place names (Kororo Public School, Kororo Reserve), but is thought to be due to a spelling error in an early handwritten document.

Best place in Coffs for kids on a rainy day! Staff are super friendly, coffee is tasty, prices are reasonable. My kids love it.

Great place for kids to get active during rainy weather, but more than 1 hour for a coffee. Insane. Staff are slacking off and walking behind counter. When you deal with much people, be active at least. And no communication at order time.

  1. Bubbler, water bottle refill, sunscreen vending machine starting at 50c, loads of elements to the playground for varying ages and abilities. A couple of picnic tables, and picnic benches scattered around for tired parents. The path throughout is a dragon if you can get an eagle eye view.

  2. This was such a good find and has a large variet of equipment for kids of various ages. We have a year old child and there was plenty of things to do for him. Highly recommended ?

  3. It is a very nice park that is suitable for many ages. There are bathrooms nearby and also a water fountain. It’s an opened layout allowing plenty of space for the kids to run around. The equipment is relatively well maintained, a very small amount of vandalism, unfortunately. Highly recommend if you need a place to burn off some steam for the kids.
