in the last weekGreat short walking tracks (~1h30) from the Park are taking you to other tracks or to the Cave. Nice view onto Monks bay from the Cave.2 months agoA great short walk (4km return) with amazing views. The track can be steep in places but it is manageable even with a dog and baby in tow.2 weeks agoNice and easy walk, with a rewarding lookout to the Sumner beach at the end. 45 mins to complete. Heaps of parking available. Great short walk.2 weeks agoGreat wee hike up to the cave as this was my first time, it’s worth the view once you’re up at the cave, I’d definitely do it againa month agoHayfever was so bad but the walk was overall good. My rating does not relate to the hayfever hahaha. If you go fast you can do it in under an hour starting from the carpark. Cave was also pretty good.

Lovely place to wander through. Lots of trails. A little easy to get lost, some markers have been snapped off. Take a photo of the map at the info sites along the way. Easy walking and nice sandy ground. Very peaceful.
Golden Retriever’s spotted! Great place to go for a walk/run/bike/forest tramp. Beach is a bit of a distance to get to. No end of different tracks to use, shaded or unshaded.
We have visited the fairy doors/houses here many times some of the houses are a bit damaged and run down but it’s a nice open space for my 2yo to run around, you need to PACK A JACKET though the wind blows through the trees and it can be FREEZING! The little information centre isn’t always open but it’s good shelter when it is, picnic tables around and public toilets near the carpark area lots and lots of parking and great for biking but it’s very easy to get lost if you are not familiar with the tracks.
We are so lucky to have this place very close to us. It’s a lovely calming walk amongst the trees
Beautiful forest. A lot of different routes to walk, run or cycle. It’s very big, so can get lost easily but the main roads make it easy to find your way. Stunning place to take photos for your Instagram
