What a fantastic place that shows and preserves the way of life of bygone times. We got a ride in a lovely 1925 car and then walked around looking at the various buildings which include a hospital, a school, a church and residential buildings. Only slight negative was the piped music which was never ending and unnecessary.
This is a hidden gem of Rockhampton, only $5 to enter and the village is amazing, interesting and educational.
The historic houses feel very true to the era, and the vintage vehicles, clocks, hospital, school , church, firehouse are so fascinating to look at and learn about.
This is a great day out for the family, possibly older kids may enjoy it more as they may have greater appreciation for what they are looking at.
The staff are also super friendly and even dropped us off to the far end of the park so we would have time to look at everything before it closed.
Awesome heritage village run by volunteers, super friendly, everyone wanting to share their knowledge, so much work has gone into replicating and restoring everything from kitchen ware to buildings to transport through the ages, really well done. Well worth the nominal $5.00 entry fee. Just allow plenty of time, shouldn’t be rushed.
Incredible place to stroll around so much history, we arrived late in the day but you really need to allow 2-3 hours to see it all
The Rockhampton Heritage Village offers an enriching experience at a reasonable $5 entry fee. With incredibly friendly and accommodating staff, this place exudes warmth and authenticity. It comes highly recommended for a visit, providing a captivating journey through history with its well-preserved exhibits and engaging displays.
