A branch that came through the window now through the roof of the car. Don’t believe the negative reviews about the restaurant!!! Price is reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area.2 months agoIf you have any interest in cars, motorbikes, or even old radios and phones, this is a must-see! It is an excellent display in a beautiful setting. You can spend hours wondering around looking at the amazing displays and reading all the interesting information and facts. Everything is in pristine condition, and some are very rare. You will find yourself reminiscing and not realising how quickly time passes. When you are finished in the museum, you can wander next door to the “barn” for a delicious feed and quiet drink. That’s if you don’t have a bird phobia as there’s huge chickens wandering around. I personally thought they were adorable! The only thing I would change is the entry fee. $25 per person is a lot, especially when there is a group of you. If it’s less, you are more likely to buy merchandise and eat at the restaurant. I feel $15 would be better. But that’s just my thought.a month agoA good friend in Melbourne (VIC Buick Club President) highly recommended that I visit this museum, so a recent trip to Brisbane gave me the opportunity.First, I had breakfast at the restaurant ‘Stanley’s Barn’ which was superb. The menu is extensive and the staff friendly & attentive.
Upon entering the museum building, owner Carl Amor kindly gave me personal tour before allowing me to go at a slower pace alone.
This museum has a large & diverse range of classic & vintage cars plus a large assortment of fabulous memorabilia. Being a Buick owner, I particularly enjoyed the extremely rare Buicks.
Gold Coast Motor Museum is world-class and the beautiful country setting creates a great atmosphere. I’d recommend this place to anybody.
5 months agoFantastic place. What a great recommendation from a friend. Great museum that is well kept and stocked with some fantastic cars. Stanley’s Barn was a great spot for lunch. Food was great, the hand cut chips were a point of difference. Service efficient and friendly. Will definitely be back. Well done.2 months agoDisplay of cars & bikes was quite varied but mostly American brands. We got there at 3.30 & it closed at 5pm so 1.5 hours was not really enough time, so we will need to return again. We all bought merchandise as well as there was a good selection of product. Highly recommend if you are a car enthusiast, but not many bikes on display.

We had such fun! There’s a little something for everyone. The 7D experience was awesome. You could spend hours looking at all the displays.
Amazing experience with loads to explore and look at. Large variety of different exhibits that ensures there is something for everyone to enjoy. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend giving them a visit to explore the different exhibits. The mirror maze was also very enjoyable and fun.
This was place was pretty interesting! I found it interactive for all ages, and reasonably priced for what it offered. I found it to be a long wait for the 7D cinema but at least it was fun. Overall I enjoyed this venue.
One of the most fascinating collections of weird and wacky oddities you’re likely to come across. From cannibal trophies, to artwork comprised of slices of toast, to a lock of Elvis’ hair, it is impossible to predict what you are going to run into next at this museum. Each section is very well thought-out and presented and keeps things fresh as you explore them, and the interactivity is plentiful and I would highly recommend going with friends to get the most of out them.
Some things I want to point out though, I wish some of the interactive portions didn’t require money to operate (the grip strength machine, the shooting gallery etc.) as you are already paying a decent entry free to get in, and while the 7D ride and mirror maze are ok they do feel completely disconnected from the Ripley brand and a little tacked-on.
Otherwise, this is a museum that is pretty impossible to get bored in (probably the single best one in Australia to bring kids along to) and there’s always something unbelievable just around the corner waiting for you.
So much fun! They have the newer attractions and things to view, including the maze of mirrors, and 4D games to play,
Maze of mirrors is a lot of fun and not scary at all, there are a couple of spots where we walked into glass but didn’t take much to find the right door lol … and you hear others laughing and see others as well…. and the 4D virtual game playing is where you pick from 6 possible games to play – (3 scary and 3 non scary), seats up to 7 at a time, huge fans mean you really feel the wind rushing by etc, plus you can watch from outside on both camera as well as the large TV, and winners are shown at the end of each round
Plenty to see inside, some fantastic, fun, weird, strange (and some gross) interesting things to see and do…. There is something for everyone …..
Good pricing, not wheelchair/some disabilities friendly as you need to go down a set of stairs to access the museum….
Have not put up many photos because that would ruin the surprise for you when you go…..
Great family/friends day out and easy to find ….
