Lovely park with great playground for the kids with ice cream and light meal available at the park. Beautiful view of the harbour and Mount Maunganui. Long walk way for strolling, running or cycling. Lovely beach stretch too for playing, swimming, standup paddling or kayaking.

Cool park for the kids, parking was on the smaller side so had to park on the street. The small kids slide is made from stainless and in direct sunlight, thus steaming hot, so not the best design there. Other than that, lots of things for the kids to play on and a nice beach with lots of rock pools and crabs.

Great, calm freedom camping spot for two selfcontained campervans with a beautiful panorama to the Mount Manganiu. It is closed in the evening around nine o’clock but they open it around 5 AM. It has a clean toilet too.

Beautiful setting for walks along the beach front and great playgrounds for the kids and adults to enjoy . Looking at the scenery is spectacular to see the Mount and wharfs across the other side .

  1. Labour Day 2023 long weekend stroll… Spacious place to have picnics and a children’s play- ground right across an estuary beach. Relaxing to unwind and free your mind. The only thing noticeable are cars parked of homeless sleeping in it.
