9 months agoGorgeous relaxing outing. Looking at the variety of birds and ducks swimming around in the water two swans with their singlets swimming around. Has a lovely play ground for children and WC facilities too.4 months agoGreat park with lot of plants, small lake, fishes and ducks.a year agoSuch a lovely place to wander around. Tracks are wide and well maintained and there are so many birds to watch. I even saw a big fish jumping up in one of the waterways. There is a carpark and public toilets at the main entrance. They also have a playground. After our walk we sat at the lake and fed the birds and a hungry lot of eels. Awesome! Next time I shall take a picnic lunch, then I can get fed as well as the eels.4 weeks agoLove the reserve! Quite a lot of geese honking away. Unfortunately I got approached by some council members who were quite rude while I was visiting, but I didn’t let them ruin my day ?a year agoGorgeous relaxing outing. Just amazing! Unique and beautiful birds everywhere. A must go for any bird or animal lover. Friendly birds, nice cafe and food, cool gift shop, very well maintained grounds and garden. We will be back soon ?
Lovely gardens to walk around. No steep paths. Birds are quiet and interact looking for a feed
Visiting the Bird Gardens was a great way to spend a few hours on a fine Spring day. Bought a coffee and toasted sandwich at the cafe first, and sat in pleasant surroundings to enjoy them both. A lot of photo opportunities, especially from the Peacock which put on an amazing display. Was wonderful walking around and having the birds interact with us. Very grateful to have such beautiful gardens close to Tauranga. Well worth the journey.
Really nice place for a relaxing walk around beautiful gardens filled with hungry birds. If you like feeding ducks geese doves chickens peacocks and many other species this is the place to be.
Awesome atmosphere here. Good for a morning walk. Birds will follow you though.
