2 weeks agoVery interesting place to visit offering a nice history of QLD and Brisbane. Close to transport and walking distance from train and bus, this is very worthwhile to visit. Entrance is through the city/town hall and it is free to enter and see the fantastic artwork the museum has to offer. Visit the large auditorium and take birds eye photos inside, it is an impressive place. The office of the mayor is also in the same building. The third floor has the clock tower tour, it is a great experience and good opportunity while you are there, to take the free tour and explore more history of Brisbane. You need to book the tour though and a maximum of 7 people can enter the clock tower. Once up, you can enjoy views of Brisbane, CBD and iconic buildings. Feel free to take as many photos and videos especially while the clock tower tour guide is explaining the history of the clock tower and also a bit of Brisbane history.2 months agoMuseum was okay, although not a huge amount to see in between exhibits. Going up to the clock tower was quite cool in the old lift, and you need to reserve a tour time slot in advance on floor 3 whilst you’re there. Tour guide for the brief clock tower tour was brilliant, and very engaging with kids!2 weeks agoIt was Sunday morning so we had some free time to head out to MOB. There were tours, there were children at a workshop, there were exhibitions – Rearranged – Art of the flower and Making Place: 100 views of brisbane. Really interesting, and worth a look. We loved being able to look up at the Clock tower and out at the dome from the inside of the building. So glad that City Hall was repaired and refurbed some years ago. Come and take a look, and a tour!a month agoLocated within the historic Brisbane City Hall. Worthwhile spending an hour at the Museum to visit the exhibits and learn about the history of Brisbane and its people. A trip up the clock tower is recommended and should be booked in advance.a month agoNice museum! We liked the flower part and the 100 arts of Brisbane was also very good. Definitely worth it! Free entry also nice ?

My mum and I loved the Fairy Tales exhibition. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Exhibits were engaging and facilities were clean and accessible.
I would’ve loved to have purchased something from the gift shop for my kids but found everything pretty expensive. A lovely collection of items inspired and front the exhibition though.
A little smaller than the capital galleries I’ve visited before but their Fairy Tales exhibition was excellent! Some very strong displays with interesting interpretation of elements we are so used to seeing in Western stories.
Mainly visited the fairy tales exhibition. It was a bit busy due to school holidays. The exhibition was good, if you are into fairy tales movies.
Another example of a hugely expensive, beautiful new building that is laid out in such a way that very little art can ever or ever will be presented here.
Massively tall walls, ceilings, walk ways (boulevards) and 2 – 3 things that may catch one’s attention.
Coffee shop, restaurant, meeting rooms and of course the overstuffed sizable gift shop. What a waste of public and private funds
A great gallery. We saw the Fairy Tale exhibition which was awesome. Totally loved it. Toilets accessible and clean.
