The prime spot offers breathtaking views of the entire city, from Koombana Beach and Bay to Jetty Road, the Lighthouse, and the CBD. It goes without saying that sunrise and sunset are ideal times to visit. With the exception of the graffiti, it was a solid four stars. In any case, I’m crossing my fingers that the city will get to it soon and clean it up.

Great views and the houses around are really well designed. Great to see such beautiful houses with nature’s beauty.

Great views. Lucky it has a cage around it or the wind would blow you away.

Great view. Short drive. Short walk up. Can see far and wide the whole area and the ocean as well. Nice structure. Very sturdy. Looks firm and strong.

  1. Beautiful place to rest and break for lunch between Margeret River and Perth. Cafe overlooks the ocean and beach… I enjoyed that calamari the best, shrimp and fish were good. However, they ran out of draught beer

  2. Please save yourself some time, and look for another establishment to have your meal.

My partner and I had a disappointing time. The lovely woman who served us made sure we got served quickly, and the waitress who brought our meal was apologetic and kind. When we asked for some cutlery, she was a bit scared and panicked- it wasn’t busy either, so there wasn’t much of a rush for her to be in (though our meal did take a whole hour to arrive, and it had been clear it was sitting there waiting to be delivered for a while)

Reading some of the other reviews, I can definitely agree with what they say in terms of meal wait time, miserable staff, and poor quality food for a less then tolerable price.

Working in hospitality myself, I can understand the environment and it’s easy for me to observe certain points- and it was clear to me that the staff were overworked (poor woman that served us was rushing about, making coffees and serving while there are four other girls in the back).

My partner ordered a vanilla milkshake and by the time we received it, it had separated- leaving the syrup at the bottom. It was as if they did the milk, and added the pumps in after that which is not the correct way to make a milkshake in any establishment. The ice for my drink was all melted and was half water when I received it. Pancakes had been cold, and they were heavily dry- I finished my drink before I even got through one of them.

The environment is lovely, and the breeze is pleasant. I really enjoyed the aesthetic of the backyard ocean tavern approach and it works well with the beach being right in front of the cafe. Unfortunately I think this is the only good thing about this cafe- aside from the staff! While overworked and stressed, they did their best.

  3. Great spot and on the beach! Food portions were big and tasted pretty good. The only problem is the ordering from the bar, there was always a long queue of people waiting to order, it would be more convenient with a QR code table ordering system.

  4. The food was delicious and well prepared.
    The wait staff were fantastic.
The what seemed to be the manager (tall, solid build, grey beard, male) ruined our experience when he had a go at his staff in front of customers and then has a verbal argument with an unhappy customer at the front door in front of many other customers.
