With the fish market and the tasty fish and chips, the restaurants on the wharf, the kids play area, the water fountain and basket ball court, the greens, the walk to the city, the boats, the lifting bridge, the recycled shipping containers, the city view, there’s something for everyone.a year agoFabulous children’s park down near the marina. Great playground facilities, basketball courts and public toilets.5 years agoI loved Auckland, and I especially loved walking along the water front from Queens Wharf through to St Marys Bay. The different bars and restaurants, the yacht basins were all good viewing. Our luck was in because the Volvo around world race teams were in. Around the Wynyard area there were some huge motor cruisers being cleaned and serviced for the season. The Cylo park was fun, though we did not see it when musical events were on. I loved that a bridge had been built so that you could get a high birds eye view of the cylos, and the play ground the other side.3 years agoWynyard playground is on sand and includes kina spinners, monkey bars, giant shells to hide in and swings and you can easily walk to the playground in Daldy Street also.There is a basketball half-court and a giant water feature which in summer makes a great place to paddle. can visit the fish market, watch the America’s Cup teams prepare for the upcoming races, enjoy one of the many eateries or explore the various playgrounds, splash parks and interactive play structures.
Take scooters or bikes along to explore more of Wynyard or a basketball to shoot some hoops. Currently (October 2020) the whole area is a hive of construction so an added bonus for those children who love things that go, diggers, cranes, trucks and the associated banging and crashing.

My Wonderland recently hosted our son’s 5th birthday party … it was a great success. The staff went above and beyond to make the whole process smooth and seamless. The kids had a blast and us adults barely had to lift a finger. Thank you My Wonderland Team – one very happy birthday boy.
Had an awesome time here with my 2 1/2yr old granddaughter. First to arrive at 9.30am on a Saturday morning so we had they place to ourselves for a wee while. Nice customer service, the place was clean and tidy. Good selection of food at the Cafe. Seating downstairs and upstairs, heaps of parking. I liked the fact it didn’t get crowded and crazy like other indoor playgrounds we have been to on a Saturday, we left about 11.30 am, and there was still heaps of parking.
Updated Review- Me and my granddaughter have returned for another visit a year after our first visit. We arrived just after it opened on Saturday morning, and we got straight into exploring and playing. It did not take long for the place to fill up with kid’s and parent’s. It got so crowded around the Cafe and ball pit, at times, it was hard to get through. The food is very expensive and I recommend to pack your own lunch. I ordered nuggets,fries, and a juice that cost $14, the fries & nuggets were barely cooked and not very appetising tbh, would not purchase again. We stayed for 2hrs , the place was packed out. When we left the carpark was full as well as our on the road.
Really a Wonderful place for the kids to enjoy and parents to unwind too, easily keeping an eye on them for the safetly too.
Celebrated my kid’s 7th birthday fun time there and had such sn amazing time with some yummy pizza , fries and drinks too …that I got from the cafe there. Thank you & keep up the good work !
The whole process of organising my son’s 2nd birthday with My Wonderland was enjoyable and smooth. They were very accomodating with our requests and really helpful on the day of the event. The party room was decorated wonderfully according to theme. Everyone enjoyed the food and the indoor playground (even adults!) We will definitely recommend and come back for another birthday celebration. Great work team! Thank you for making my son’s 2nd birthday fun-filled and memorable.?
The playground offered a variety of fun activities, making it an enjoyable experience with plenty of entertainment. However, arriving to the Albany location at 9:30 AM when it just opened revealed some cleanliness issues – empty cups (see video), straws, and even smashed cake on the soft ramp in the toddler area heading up to the ball pit play room (which also had a upside down table with legs in the air which is a hazard for small children), leading to an unfortunate incident with my husband’s knee. The dusty environment and lack of hygiene were noticeable drawbacks. While great for older children, navigating with a baby proved challenging.
