One of my favourite spots to walk, always clean and easy to walk through, can 100% make up your own pathway. This to me is worth the drive Dog friendly, child friendly, chicken friendly

Nothing too exciting to see here, but a real peaceful place for a walk.

Amazing place for a walk. Pram and wheelchair accessible, good parking. Walked it in about 2 hours stopping often to look at the trees or ducks. Baby loved it, was nice and quiet and not too busy. Perfect for a picnic or dare/walk, would highly recommend.

Great little park. Takes about 1-1.5hours. Plenty of seating and table and chairs scattered around the walk including little covered over shelters. Chicken and ducks are common sight with a few cows. Some lovely grassy areas near the start very suitable for a picnic. A few maps around the place to help are it can get a bit disorientating. One suggestion would be slightly more signage to inform people about varied areas and trees.

A free place to visit. Pleasant walk among nature but surprised at the lack of birdlife

  1. Ultimate place to go for a stroll in a natural environment surrounded by a busy bustling city. The café is a must visit. With modern architecture and lots of space it’s the perfect place to catch up with friends and family over a lovely cuppa and muffin. The ice-cream shop has been the number one spot for the yummiest huge (or small) ice-cream cones ever since I can remember.
The lake boasts the best place for the children to explore and have fun. The play facilities here are safe and very user friendly. Mind you, the kids need to be watched for safety sake. Best of all, it’s free. Picnic time in summer at the lake is just great.
We used to take KFC and every takeaway imaginable to dine with. Our families and extended family would regularly visit here in summer.
So. What’s keeping you? Let’s go to the Hamilton Lake for play, fun and good cheer. If you don’t want to drive there, the Comet and Orbiter buses stop right there. When in season the Roses are absolutely stunning.

  2. Lake view is a amazing, you can walk in very near the lake, and you get free car parking, there are lots of car parking is available, you can see wonderful sunset, is a quite place there seater in the near water you can sit and feel good, you can spend your time at alone nice place, when ever your guys visit hamilton never ever miss this place

  3. Had an awesome walk around Hamilton Lake Domain this morning. Some many people use this asset in the middle of Hamilton City. It’s so nice that most people will call out good morning as they walk past. The domain is great for all ages. There are cafes and plenty of toilets and facilities.

Great place to visit if you need a break while in the city.

  4. Beautiful and quiet place for walking and jogging. A lot of goose and geese. Interesting thing I saw- a group of white gooses lying down and chilling at the lawn near the houses/road in the late evening.

  5. It’s a lovely area that you can enjoy with the whole family, including your dog (on a leash). There are bbq facilities close to the yacht club, an outdoor gym area, a walking trail around the lake, a kids play area, coffee shop, rose garden and some additional facilities. The Saturday morning parkruns here are also great. It is also kept clean and tidy.
