4 weeks agoHate to leave a bad review but I have to. Very unprofessional and rude owners & staff.Booked in advance and stated late arrival (8/9pm). Issue with card on booking site, updated it and all was fine. Within an hour of arriving, received an email the booking was cancelled. Immediately called up and was told they tried to contact us multiple times (no calls, texts or emails) and the card couldn’t be charged so it was cancelled by the owners. (Card was fine to be used and had been used in various other businesses around Australia)
Asked if we could just pay on arrival and that we had just drove 5+ hours, was told she would have to ask the owners and call us back. No call back after 20 mins and we were nearly there so we called back. The woman proceeded to tell us again why the booking was cancelled?! Stated we asked could we pay on arrival and she said she had asked owners and they said no they gave our room away already (so without 30 mins of cancellation they had booked someone else in eventhough we called straight away).
Told her that we were not impressed and they were leaving us stranded (8pm at night). And she hung up on us. Called back and no answer. So not only have they left us stranded, they were were extremely rude to us. Also to note, checked the site after and still 2 rooms available to book for that night. Luckily we were able to book another motel nearby last min and the woman at reception waited for us to arrive(a lot of the motels here close the receptions at 8pm)
DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE unless you’re prepared to be left stranded and rearrange your plans.
Cannot comment on rooms as we did not stay there.
7 months agoCharm City Motel is an older motel that obviously the owner/ manager takes enormous pride in.Beautiful comfortable beds, fabulous location, on main road, but not on a traffic light intersection, therefore no noisy breaking during the night – big bonus for us.
Very clean and tidy, undercover parking. It’s winter, so didn’t try out the pool area.
Look forward to staying again. Exceptional value for money.
Thanks Rick, great customer service.
6 months agoWe’ve stayed here a few times and always found the staff and owner to be helpful and welcoming. Rooms are always spotless and have been updated tastefully. Even had our phone charger found and kept for us to pick up on our latest trip. We’ll keep coming back.7 months agoGreat place to stay for two and a bit months during my locum at the hospital. Owner has great hospitality and the cleaning staff were friendly too. Nothing was ever too much effort to help make the stay more comfortable. Room had great facilities to feel like a home away from home.a month agoCalm night, services all tailored to your needs.Great customer service not forgetting the room service, which was excellent.

Stayed here for 2 weeks while on a work contract. Nice, quiet location with clean rooms and free laundry facilities. Only downside was no rooms with cooking facilities which would have been useful for my long stay but staff facilitated me cooking in the outdoor area and supplied cooking utensils to assist.
All staff were very friendly and happy to assist however possible. I had no car but it was walking distance to many takeaway places and only a 20 minute walk to the shopping centre. Would stay again.
Only stayed one night, but I would go back in a heartbeat. Room and facilities very clean and fresh. Quiet street but very close to highway. Kitchenette, if needed and all at a great price. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Thank you!
Amazing service and the rooms were very clean as well. Very friendly staff and the breakfast was delicious! Thanks guys for looking after us 🙂
Everything you could want in a motel for a one-night stopover on the way south. The room was quiet, clean, and well-equipped. Shower was excellent with good pressure (well above the motel average). Good value motel I am happy to recommend.
Excellent. Lovely staff. Comfortable beds. Easy parking. Pool area is relaxing. Would definitely stay again.
