2 weeks agoExtremely well put-together museum, I cannot say I’ve ever paid much attention to topics relating to the maritime but I found myself fascinated by almost everything here, and it really puts into perspective just how integral maritime activities were and still are to our lives with the variety of displays they have.It’s a real feast for the eyes as well, being extremely colourful and vibrant and making great use of its vertical space with all they have suspended in the air to give a great sense of the size of these things.

3 weeks agoVisited during school holidays so it was semi busy, but it didn’t feel crowded. I didn’t know what to expect but everything was professional done and clean. I really enjoyed it and learning from WA’s maritime history, particular the Australia II yacht. I brought my daughter along and she loved it as there were kids activities. Lastly, you will really appreciate the architecture and construction marvel to build the museum, it’s really amazingly executed.2 months agoThis place is an absolute treasure! ? We immersed ourselves in the maritime wonders for a solid two hours, and it was a captivating journey. The exhibits are impeccably maintained, creating a quiet yet welcoming atmosphere that’s perfect for exploration.Hats off to the delightful receptionists! Their warm assistance and guidance made our museum adventure seamless. And, oh boy, the submarine tour is a MUST! The tour guide was a true gem – resourceful, funny, and had an answer to every question. A delightful person who elevated our experience.
In a nutshell, our time here was nothing short of great. A maritime marvel that deserves all the applause! ?⚓
2 months agoThis submarine visit was quite something! Our guide – Peter – a wealth of knowledge on the submarine field, as long as it was not a secret. 🙂 We felt how narrow spaces were, we snugged through doors, we struggled to go down steps for the missiles hatch, we seen their bunks, galley, toilet and shower, and the marvellous extra space and privacy that officers had and during two hours it was interesting to make us feel what kind of life have the submariners. Amazing exhibits and a really interesting architectural building. We loved the exhibit about Australia 2 and the Anerica cup, the preserved shark and the history of maritime in the region. Interactive stuff for kids as well as plenty of stuff to keep adults interested. Considering coming back tomorrow to do the full tour through the retired submarine.

This place is beautiful, huge, interesting and so informative. I love its wide range of areas of interest, beautiful structure and design. Also the different exhibitions. It’s also great for the price of one ticket you can become a member. Great place for kids and adults. There is something for everyone
Wonderful Museum, monumental and inclusive. Thoroughly enjoyed the ‘Discovering Ancient Egypt’ Exhibition. Loved the way they incorporated the old architecture with the new. Well worth a visit and something for all ages to enjoy. Join up for the price of admission to enjoy it for a year.
Egypt expo was just great ?. Kids loved it and adults too!! The rest of the museum itself was pretty entertaining both kids and adults: Rio Tinto ” immersive” experience was very good, and Epoch Cafe had a decent selection to choose from although not the cheap. The museum itself had a lot going on around due to school holidays I guess but heard there was always something special on. So I will definitely be keeping an eye on what’s going on there. For me and my little nephews alike. Good place to be to for an afternoon.
Highly recommended as one of the must-go places in Perth City! You might need at least 6 hours to cover all exhibits. The museum covers everything from Natural History, People, Astronomy and Culture. Suitable for all ages. Kids will surely love the Natural History section thanks to the dinosaurs and prehistoric animals exhibits. Tickets is free for kids 12 years and below.
Located next to AGWA museum. There are fee, but it’s worth it. There are multiple floors. It shows you few things: Wild life, Connections of Australia with the world, and Changes. By the way, it’s kids friendly too. Don’t forget to pay a visit at their gallery and shop store! Enjoy guys!
