4 weeks agoI had the most amazing experience at the Daisy Hill Koala Sanctuary! ? This place is a true gem, and I can’t recommend it enough.The opportunity to get up close and personal with these adorable koalas is something I’ll cherish forever. The staff here are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about wildlife conservation, and it shows in the way they care for these beautiful creatures.
The sanctuary itself is well-maintained, and the natural surroundings make it a serene and peaceful place to visit. It’s not just about koalas; there are so many other fascinating Australian animals to see and learn about.

a month agoI appreciate how well curated and maintained everything is. it features plenty of picnic areas, paths through the forest and amenities like parking and washrooms. the entrance is FREE and it’s perfect to bri g your kids, as they have kid friendly learning areas. currently it hold 3 koalas, 2 females and one male, that have been rescued.5 months agoIf you are a MTB or walker or want to take horses, dogs and children somewhere special, this is it. Picnic and BBQ areas follow sign for koala sanctuary. Great flowing trail mostly blue and green. Awesome fun.2 months agoWhat a gorgeous spot with towering gum trees, quiet spot to do some forest bathing and plenty of picnic space. There are walks amongst the trees, large space for kids to run around and good toilet facilities. Located next door to the koala centre which offers free viewing of koalas. The only issue I had, was with the walking trails which I felt could be better mapped and marked out making the start of them easier to find – but I have a terrible sense of direction.5 months agoBrilliant spot for MTBing, walking with/out dogs, horse riding and trail running. Plenty of parking and multiple access points. New toilets and bike maintenance area at the trail head.

Wonderful experience all around. We went first on a weekday for the koala and raptor encounters which were great. The kangaroo area was also really cool.
Went back a few days later for the nocturnal tour which was incredible. Emily was very fun and kept things lively while we waited for the previous group to finish. The staff as a whole were extremely knowledgeable and had so much information on all the animals as we saw them in their most active time of day. Any other zoo or sanctuary I’ve been to you see these animals sleeping. On the nocturnal tour they give you thermal cameras to find them, red torches to illuminate the animals without disturbing them which were also great for taking pictures. The animals were active, feeding and very interested in the tour group.
Very cool experience.
10/10 would recommend.
Lone Pine is probably my favorite place that I visited in Australia. The staff were incredibly friendly, and helped out us at every corner. I would highly recommend the koala tour, as it gives much behind-the-scenes knowledge. The koalas seemed very happy and content. The kangaroos were very friendly, and it was very fun to feed them. A great experience for us.
Great spot for loving on our native animals. We visited on a scorching day and the only criticism I have of the place is that there are NO water fountains. In QLD, I just think that’s astonishing. We had brought our own reusable water bottles and managed to fill them up in the parents room at the Sleepy Koala Cafe, but be warned that there are no outside bubblers or taps. Otherwise, gorgeous animals and very caring staff. An asset to Brisbane.
Nice little sanctuary with lots of koala’s. The yard with the kangaroos also is very nice. The rest of the zoo is a bit questionable. Especially if you want to see the nocturnal animals and other animals like wombats. They are not visible at all.
Pictures taken with Koala is actually very nice experience. Staff is very friendly and not rushed.
This was my ultimate bucket list!! The staff was so amazing and knowledgeable about all of the animals! Thank you all for being so wonderful and patient with your guests! This is a 100 out of a 10 for a must do. Even if you are close to Brisbane, it’s so worth the visit?❤️?❤️
