4 months agoNice place to visit but for the cost you would think that the paths could be updated! Also I felt a bit stink that they had so many lions and not a large enough space therefor many had to wait in the cages to be let out. Its a bit run down and the animals are all massively overfed with pellets6 months agoGreat place to visit, my family all had a great time. Paths and animal areas all well maintained and clean. We were able to pat the lion cubs which was super special. Loved feeding the farm animals, they were all super friendly. Cafe was the only downside, very small selection. Recommend taking a packed lunch. Will definitely visit again, well worth the trip.2 months agoA wonderful place for exploring the animal world in New Zealand. It was a good experience to be part of nature again with animals. Beautiful environment. A visitor could spend about 1 hour during the visit2 months agoOriginally a petting zoo that are surrounded by super clear streams housing trouts and nice walk tracks, the inclusion of 1 male lion and 4 lionesses makes it an even more wonderful zoo.2 months agoGood little wildlife park to visit when you’re in Rotorua. A little bit pricey compared to the zoos around the country and with less animals. However we enjoyed our time feeding the animals – especially the wallaby.

Its a very good place to walk. There’s ample benches to sit and watch the birds fly around. A decent size playground is also a plus for family with kids! The picnic area is huge and tidy.
Plants are well maintained and the entire park is just a good spot for relaxing.
A very unique kind of public park in a central business district, with geothermal landscaping, footbath, mud pools, etc. Also, plenty of sulfur smells from the smoke
Great free place to visit in Rotorua. Try the super got thermal foot bath for free too. Walk around the boardwalks to experience mud, bubbling and steam. It’s so much fun. Playground and toilets there too. Well maintained though some hot pools are over filling and you have to hop over the water a bit.
This park is huge and you can see a lot of geothermal activity here.
You can experience the hot water by putting your legs into the water in one place allowed.
There are big trees and shades you can sit, relax and eat.
This place is free.
Free park with lots to see. Definitely worth checking out since it’s easy to access, park, and there isn’t any price. Mudpots, thermal foot baths, and other geothermal features make it quite unique for a town park.
