2 weeks agoSuch a beautiful cinema/theatre with classic style. Love visiting this place. Staff helpful and polite. Does have a dress code so almost been caught out with a singlet on but thankfully had a long-sleeve shirt on hand. Great flavoursome popcorn and a really good range of flicks released!a month agoOld world feel in this beautiful theatre. First time visit and won’t be my last. Good prices and friendly staff.3 weeks agoEasily the fantastic movie theatre I’ve been to. The theater was so clean and tidy. the popcorn was amazing!4 weeks agoMy husband and I both agree it has atmosphere that gives a feeling of the past, an intimacy that is lacking in other cinemas. Staff are friendly, and seats are comfy. Our favourite cinema.a year agoHow did we miss this cinema…definitely a wow cinema! We are told it was built 30 years ago as a reminder to the good old days. A great cinema to watch Top Gun 2 and now we can’t wait to see Elvis movie there. The screen is new and huge and the sound is clear and just the right decibels to sit at the front which we love to do to feel the action. The staff are all lovely people who help to make the whole atmosphere a true art Deco experience. There is even a dress code men have to wear a shirt! I highly recommend checking this amazing cinema…not to be missed on your travels to Townsville!

Beautiful complex feels very modern, recent addition of alcoholic beverages is also nice if that’s your thing. One word of caution, these cinemas are uncommonly loud so take that into account if you are hearing-sensitive.
During my time here I got the chance to see Oppenheimer and Mission Impossible 7: Cruising for more Money and had a great time! Lovely and awesome staff, greeted very well upon entering, immediately served and directed to the theater of choice. Hanging in the lobby was pleasant and I just had to get a photo with my older brother Ryan Gosling! See ya next time Aussies! ?????????
It’s really easy to book tickets via the App. No long wait in line like I’ve experienced at other cinemas. The cinema seats hurt my lower back as they have a bounce movement to them when you sit down. They slightly recline in the back area and the seat can tilt – it made my back ache which I’ve never experienced before. Toilets were not particularly clean as there was paper towels all over the floors but that happens at all cinemas and bowling alleys. I just wish an employee would check them more often and that parents would supervise their kids in there. Plenty of parking available outside.
Watched the Creator here on our way through Townsville. Friendly staff and free parking if you give them your plate number. Did the job but man was it cold! The movie started with a decent temperature in the building but at some point the air conditioning cranked up and we froze. Bring something warm to wear! And maybe your own drink and snack to avoid movie theater prices. ?
I watched the delicacy of a movie Trolls 3. Now the movie was immaculate, the cups for drinks were massive and the popcorn was super buttery and really salted. However I would like to mention the way of getting in is exhausting now there is a lift but it is filled with mirrors a poster and the inside doors of the lift have batman and Superman all over it making a claustrophobic space of transport. There are claw machines and a big variety of snacks to choose from and a great deal for a trolls 3 popcorn bucket. So this was a really good cinema but beware of the lift and very long repetitive ads. Kind regards a fellow customer.
