Really great spot just off the highway.
The animal loop can take anywhere from 30 mins to a couple of hours depending on whether you time it right with some of the talks, and if you factor in doing the aboriginal walk / hike you could easily spend all day here which makes the price a bargain (not so much if you’re in and out in an hour!).
We managed to navigate most of the animal loop with a pram, but you definitely couldn’t do it with a wheelchair.
A fantastic place to visit. You can comfortably see the majority of the park and it’s animals in a bit over an hour, but you could very easily spend a whole day there too. Some animals freely roam the park while others are safely kept out of reach of visitors.
The day I visited with my children, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
I highly recommend Walkabout Wildlife Park to all ages.
Nice wild zoo, if we could call it in this way.
The range of different spices is wide. The organization is good. The closeness little bit less, but unfortunately we are in the wild nature.
The only sad things is that 50% of the animals are sleeping and hiding during the day and you can’t really see them.
It worth the visit.
I am so glad I finally took my family here.. This is a very calming and enjoyable place to enjoy bush walking and animals in the most natural and easy going way. We brought our own food, tho could of purchased some as well. My children aged (7&9yrs) loved walking among so many kangaroos, wallabies and emus. The most calm and relaxed animals I’ve seen so far. It was so amazing practicing and learning how to throw a boomerang, listening to the dingo talk, holding a snake and feeding the alpaca, Guinea pigs and goats in the petting zoo area. The “walk about sanctuary” is the best way to get the kids loving our Australian surroundings open every day.
Wonderful and well maintained sanctuary ideal for a day outing from Sydney. The animals are well looked after and staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Kangaroos and emus roam about in the open while the visitors get to pat them and click a pic or two. The ticket includes a packet of feed for the farm animals. A very good experience to visit with kids.
Food: One could do take outs for a picnic in the sanctuary or alternatively, the visitor centre does some stock sandwiches, instant noodles and other snacks for light meals.
