2 years agoOk so I’ll just give the plane specs. The Douglas DC-3 is a fixed wing piston engine plane with a range of 2,400 km, a wingspan of 29 m and a cruising speed of 241 km/h.2 months agoIt looks nice through the fence, but to be honest, I don’t exactly know how to get in.6 years agoThere is an Australian dc3 in the botanical gardens. It was taxed off the old runway and parked in the gardens. Trees have grown over the years to disguise how it got there Worth a look as you drive past4 years agoThe plane wreckage is located within the Lae most beautiful botanical garden. It is a concrete block with some steel plates with her name on it.
I would hardly call it a memorial.
There is no information about what she did or when she did it.
It should have a date of her take off and expected destination
A relaxing place and environment to chill and unwind. Love the second hands nearby also. Great bargains
I went to the place but did not spend too much time. Neither did I asked anyone there as I don’t have time for that. I was on a barbecue gathering
Thanks ADRA
Thanks UNICEF.
It is just some non-descript ugly small concrete monument next to a street intersection. You will miss it if you drive too fast or not pay attention.
