2 years agoWas at the library today to scan some important papers to my email address and one other. Followed the prompts, also checked email addresses/ spelling and proceeded. To no avail, nothing came to my email address. Librarian was really no help whatsoever. Not very happy with service3 years agoBest library in whangarei has everything you need. kids who love books will enjoy the variety located near the gas station and coundown easy access for kids to relax and enjoy the space if walking a good walk or stop for the journey4 years agoBrilliant service! Extremely helpful. However using the Internet on the computers for locals should be free! And need more than two computers, and longer sessions rather than just 30 minutes. Very Expensive too!3 years agoBeautiful little library, visit friends or family. Quick stop in and use the computer, plus free WiFi access. Power wheelchair and mobility scooter friendly #LightTheWorld10 months agoNot a play centre, your kids need to be supervised. Top marks for the staff that make an effort

⛔CIVIC ESPRESSO Main entrance NEW Council Headquarters COFFEE SPOT GOOD – for on the run are you?. Always prompt attention from the 2 best coffee girls in town with a great brew ready. Very Sunny & warm. Snacks + stools to perch on. ??✅
such a great library! Although one thing I don’t like is how limited the children’s novels are. If you don’t like the experience of reading in a library, try a digital app which works with library cards, the one I use has many books, including some of your favourites, like Harry Potter. There are many other apps apart from the one I talking about, libby, but that’s what I use. Apple Books and audible are also quite good.
Also all of the photos I display are copyright free. At least I think.
Construction work yet to be fully completed, so way finding from the main carpark is a little confusing due to the old council chambers still being accessible. Odd thing is they distribute replacement recycle bins rather than the new council bldg next door…. As a library, yes a great asset for the city.
A clean & efficient setup ? Having a café inside with local newspapers on hand certainly is a winter plus. Shame about having to pay for local carpark which is higher than one across the way.
My friend and I were going to the public library to get library cards. The woman at the counter asked my friend (who is Asian, by the way) if she was from New Zealand. She then proceeded to say that one needs to be a New Zealand citizen to obtain a library card, without even waiting for my friend’s response. Plain rudeness.
