A wonderful small little zoo, free to the public. Zoo has a variety of birds, reptiles, emu, kangaroos, dingos and a few others. Very nice staff , worth a visit. Zoo is set in a very nice park by the river.

This is a tiny slice of native animals and birds and a few others from South America. It’s a free zoo, so it’s good for a quick visit. The staff seem to be very attentive.

Beautiful little zoo. It is free, clean, and well put together. I got the chance to pet one of their dingo rescues that they happened to have out for a walk. Found a couple critters here that we didn’t see anywhere else. It is in a great location attached to the park right on the river. Definitely worth checking out.

  1. Beautiful walking trail with plenty of shade and dog friendly.

With a multitude of animals, flora, stunning creeks, and a cafe; you are bound to have a relaxing day out.

I haven’t had the opportunity to try it yet, but there appears to be a train ride available for those looking to explore more, in addition to museums if you feel like learning about Bundaberg’s historical information.

This botanical garden appears to be a local favourite on weekends.

  2. A fantastic experience. The perfect location for that morning activity a great walking route around the Gardens amongst the exotic and native vegetation all set out around a lovely water course with a large lake and smaller pond in line . Plenty of wildlife, many water-birds tortoise water dragons . The trees are teaming with all the native bird species very exciting. The old Tourist Cane Train is very popular and was decked out for Christmas . The Heritage Buildings and the Museums are a must see . Very impressed a protected location on an oppressive hot & humid summer morning with no wind to speak of .

  3. Bundaberg Botanic Garden is a scenic place to visit, where you can see Water dragons, tortoises, ducks, waterfowls and herons etc. There is a small train operates for kids. A few old architectural buildings are also there to visit including a cafe. Plants are with name boards for identification purposes.

  4. This is so beautiful. Great cafe, ride on the sugar cane train for $6 . Under school age kids are free. It takes you around the whole park. Visit Chinese and Japanese gardens ,feed the duck, islands of birds herons bin chooks ducks. Lots of water dragons lazing about. Good for the whole day.the gardens are stunning

  5. Had a lovely outing here. It was a good 30 degrees, so remember to slip on a shirt, slap on a hat, bring your sun screen, and also some water.

Really awesome place to visit. It is free to visit the gardens, but u will pay for the steam train. It’s about $6 dollars for an adult, $2 for kids, $15 for a family (2 adults and 2 or more kids), but this helps the volunteers to run the site.

There are some museums on site that you can visit the same story as the train, help with keeping the site running.
