Coffs Harbour Airport (IATA: CFS, ICAO: YCFS) (formerly ICAO code of YSCH until November 2007) is the only airport serving the City of Coffs Harbour, in the New South Wales Mid North Coast region in Australia. The airport is located 3 km (1.9 mi) south of Coffs Harbour and is one of the busiest regional airports in the state, serving flights to the east coast capital cities, as well as some regional destinations. Coffs Harbour Airport has the capacity to handle large aircraft such as the Boeing 767 or Boeing 777 but is predominately served by regional airlines using smaller aircraft.
In 2021–22 the airport handled 17,662 total aircraft movements. The terminal handled a record 413,103 passengers in the 2017–18 financial year, making it the 22nd busiest airport in Australia. However, the impacts of travel restrictions in response to the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a significant reduction in revenue passengers, with the airport handling 178,514 during 2021–22, falling to the 28th busiest airport.

Had a delightful 1st visit to the gallery 5/10/2023. My visit was enriched by insightful discussions with Denita , a visitor support person, who took my understanding of the indigenous artworks to another level. Grazie

A beautiful gallery with an impressive collection gifted to the gallery of Indigenous Art. I loved the notes connected to the pieces, words from the artists. Currently 2 collections on display which perfectly complement each other.

I went to view the 2019 Archibald Prize and found friendly staff and a large open well-lit space. All on ground floor so wheelchair accessible. I enjoyed the exhibition, didn’t see any gift shop (which I think are usually worth a browse at galleries), then strolled a couple of blocks to the second site for the remainder of the exhibition (in the nearby shopping centre). I understand that plans are well underway for a new much bigger space in between these two locations. I look forward to visiting again to experience that.

Such a lovely place excellent staff who were very helpful. I attended a few weeks back and exhibit hosted was quite phenomenal, with themes surrounding nature and indigenous Australians. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience there and was absorbed by the variety of talents and cultural backgrounds which influenced the works. Definitely recommend.

  1. Can I say not what I was expecting. It was even better. Perfect the fact it was indoors as we arrived as it started to rain.
With the Bunkers original history shared and the cartoon display. It really brought the two together.
Craft table for our daughter as well who was a little to young to understand.
Something for the young and old. Brought back memories and I thought of times with my Grandparents and how next time I should take them as well. Lift to access upstairs display.

  2. A gallery set in a WW2 bunker sounds pretty cool, and it is! Not a big gallery but really interesting for both the physical space and the collection. Add a lovely café, a sun-dappled balcony, a nice gallery shop and lovely staff and it’s more than worth a visit. Highly recommended 🙂

  3. Came here out of curiosity and was pleasantly surprised. $10 Adult entry. You watch a 3min video about the bunker itself and then set out on your own to explore the gallary which is 2 levels. There is stairs or a lift to go upstairs. Facinating collection of different types of art and photography currently on show. Some very funny cartoons and caricatures. Others bring light to some very serious world event. The photography exibit on the ground floor showcased some beautiful photos of nature at its best. There is also a library of comics and graphic novels to sit and read. The team were friendly and the bunker has been converted beautifully showing in some of the original features. Well worth the look in. Current exhibition will appeal more to adults than kids.

  4. Great gallery devoted to cartoons from the nonsensical to the political to the irreverent. Reasonable admission charges and a nice cafe upstairs. Well worth going out of you way to visit if you’re into a broad range of cartoons. Also houses the Stanley award winners and varying temporary exhibits, all built around a WW2 bunker.
