This location has a lot of items where you need a store attendant to help you look at them. This location isn’t located in the best area but that’s not really their fault 82nd is just a difficult street period. The staff is friendly and usually helpful. This location gets picked through often so it’s shelves are lacking most days. Again not really their fault. I’m neutral towards the particular location. There are others nearby I go to first but I’m sure I’ll be back at some point in the future.

I love Ross, but tonight I abandoned TWO CARTS THAT WERE FULL of hundreds of dollars worth of things I was going to buy. This was due to how rude the fitting room employee was to me and my autistic 6 year old daughter. I left the store in tears. This was 5/5/23 at approx 8pm, the employee is a female and has long grey hair . I find it interesting that there’s another review here from a month ago with a complaint about the fitting room clerk as well. I wonder if they’re referring to the same person I’m referring to. She was incredibly rude to a little girl that just needed to go potty. My daughter is special needs and has a hard time communicating a physical need until it’s urgent. I politely asked this clerk where the restroom was, she glares at us and ignored us until she was good and ready and done with what she was doing (hanging stuff). Then she says “by the kid shoes” .. cold and annoyed. We get to the restroom and it has a key code padlock on the door, and we can’t get in, and the door is making weird noises. So I walk back to her and say “excuse me ma’am um -” and she cuts me off with a FULL SNEER FULL OF HATRED snaps at me “JUST. PUSH. IT” . Doesn’t even let me finish my question. Just incredibly rude. Maybe she had a death in the family or is going through something. or maybe she’s just a jerk that didn’t go to college and is bitter she has to work retail in her 70’s, like it’s beneath her or something. Who knows.

Always love going to ross! The security guard and having to wait a minute or two before entering is a little strange. But they have great prices and a large selection of clothing, household items, and decor. Also, a little automobile section.

The girl at the counter got there an hour early so her boss told her to tidy the queue items and dang did that queue look good. My girlfriend mentioned it as she once also worked for Ross, and I as a frequent shopper was ballot to see that the employee cared about her job. The whole store looked very clean and tidy. Nice work!

I’m not sure what is going on with this store but when I was there I couldn’t find half of the items I was looking for the whole store was literally bare hardly anything in the store. I did find a new pair of shoes that I was looking for luckily they were on sale from the original price of $64, I only paid $24.50 for a pair of Nike Air Max. During my check out experience I felt judged and poverty profiled. The check out clerk Karen called the security officer to the front desk and claimed that myself and a friend was attempting to rob the store and not pay for my wonderful shoes.

I like tj max much better and there clearance section is lacking. But regardless of location the regular selection of dresses is phenomenal. the address for this review for the one at the Loyd Center, I Recently went to the on on 99 and Gleason and have had an awful experience each time I have been there I actually think thy are selling old merchandise from TJ Max, with an overly expensive price tag, and no consideration for there customers.

A place to find great deals! Though you have to be really observant to check for quality of product, it is worth. Many good brand products were also available for affordable price.

I got there 10 min before closing to get a pair of swim trunks, and they wouldn’t even let me in. Staff was rude, and store looked empty of goods.

  1. This place is great for plus sized men’s shirts, but not for plus sized pants. They could definitely do better in that regard. Still, I liked what I did find and it was affordable. I loved the shoes I found there and the purses that I got where the best I have ever had at the fraction of the price I paid for my old purses and bags.

  2. Great selection! Clean and well stocked. Sufficient staffing, pleasant customer service. I found a beautiful dress for a wedding at a great price!

  3. I’ll be completely honest. They had many things that I wanted buy and I did. They had a lot of inventory, my size clothing/shoes and lots of clearance items. So why the one star rating you ask? Well unfortunately for Ross Mgmt and myself, I went shopping here at the wrong time. A few steps ahead of me as I was walking in two young African-American women and one young African-American male walked in the store right before I did. Apparently they were known to be Thieves there and because I am also African-American and walked in behind them, I got lumped in with them. It didn’t matter that they looked young (late teens to early twenties) and were talking and clearly engaging with each other And i, a grandma alone. As soon as I walked through the door the manager made a comment stating yeah there’s another one. At first I just blew it off not thinking he’s even talking to me or about me I proceeded to get a cart and began shopping. He wasted no time approaching whatever department i was in periodically saying things like, ” yeah the cops are on their their way”, “not going to get away with with this one”, “yeah I recognize her she’s been here before” It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to put two and two together I’m not naive and I actually thought it was funny because he was completely wrong about me. As time went on, he continuously throughout the entire time I was there (alproximately 1 1/2 hours ) made comments towards me as if referring to me. I was getting upset at this point and I was very angry but instead of lashing out I decided to continue shopping and just ignore the remarks. It was a very nice Ross snd had lots of things i wanted to purchase. When I got in line and was about to make my purchase there was the good old manager/lost prevention/ a****** wanting to see what it is I was going to do I guess he wanted to see whatever he thought I was up to. I proceeded to spend approximately $200 I found a lot of things that I liked definitely had my size on clothes that’s a plus definitely have my shoe size and had a lot of other things that when I saw I wanted so I bought. I was so upset though when I left because it absolutely ruined my time there as well as being embarrassing as other shoppers overhead and were convinced i was a thief. I don’t want to go back there ever I can only imagine what would have happened if I went in and had a bag from somewhere else or a backpack or an oversized purse would they try to check me at the door or something? Even though I didn’t want to I returned every single item the next day. and I’m not going to lie I will go shopping at Ross I just will not be shopping at that Ross.

  4. I must have lost my mind, CHRISTMAS ? MUSIC,blaring thru the store. As I shop for back to school clothes, for my grandchildren!! Come on, it’s barely SEPTEMBER!! Also, the store was extremely ? HOT!! Management pushed the buck and blamed it on corporate!! My daughter took 2 pairs of kids’ pants into the waiting room for my grandson to try on. The pants were hung on a rack and searched, then when she came out to put the pants in our cart, the lady was like, “I’ve got to search those.” WHAT FOR? She went in with w 2 pairs of little pants and came out with 2 little pants. WHAT WAS SHE SEARCHING FOR??

  5. The way the employees treat you is pretty bad. Everyone follows me around the store like I’m going to steal, I feel uncomfortable and I can’t hardly even shop and enjoy it… I used to to love getting away from it all standing in the middle of a Ross isle way.. m those times are long gone and impossible to even imagine happening without someone deciding you’re a thief because of you skin tone, teeth, clothing, hairstyle and whatever else they want to use against you.. I get boosters are hard to sway away sometimes, but business will be harder to sway back in, once your loose your customer base.
