4 months agoMy wife and I made a bear together here this week. It was my wife’s first build-a-bear ever, and she is 26! We both had a blast. The store is very clean and organized, and all the employees are knowledgeable about how to make the bears. The only thing I would like to add is that none of the employees (except one) were excited for my wife (or random children) making their bears. Especially for kids, making a bear is such an exciting, special, memorable experience, and the only employee who seemed excited about it was one young female employee with long black hair. She was the only employee who smiled at us. I know working all day makes people tired, but at least smile once? Lol. Everyone else seemed dead inside. I remember when I was a kid, we used to ring a bell when we made our bears, and we used to take them home in a box that looked like a house, with the bear’s head sticking out the window. None of that was offered to us. I had to ask.9 months agoThe experience was very nice , every one was patient with my little one while she choose her teddy bear. They have a club membership free to join that allows you to pay your age on your bday month the website doesn’t work well to register so the staff was very kind to help on our arrival they have sweet nature and allow the children to submerge in the experience of building their own bear ! Thank you all for making such a sweet experience!a month agoFirst time going to a build a bear, chose this location because the Otay build a bear says it is permanently closed. Brought my niece and nephew here for my nephew’s birthday. It was an overall great experience the staff is a bunch of wonderful ladies and they helped make this a great experience for all of us. I had even purchased a bear and outfit online and was able to exchange the outfit for another one with no problems even though they were pretty busy. Thanks so much I hope to return in the future.4 months agoI absolutely love build-a-bear. I took my son there for the first time this week and he had a blast building his own little stuffed animal. It was so fun that I went ahead and made one for myself too! Why not? a month agoVery cool shop has a lot of great things especially if you like anime. You’re able to find tokidoki here and Gundam. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly parking is easy to find they have a huge parking lot up on a hill. All the prices of the items are very reasonable.4 months agoBEST place to buy gundam models in San Diego. Expert staff, a young man recommended a model for me and I’m stoked on it! The lady who runs it is an angel, she’s so kind to everyone. SUPER random location though. It’s in old town and parking can be a pain. Artwork on the shop is 100% Awesome! Even the floors have runners on them. Looks dope af. Will be coming back for years to come.4 months agoIf you like Gundam, don’t miss out on the opportunity to visit this place. We have visited several hobby stores near San Diego for gundam models (Gunpla). Hands down, Gunnzo has the largest variety of Gunpla kits. Even the gundam base pop up shop at Mercari didn’t have as good of a selection. There were several MG kits to choose from and an insane amount of HG and RG kits. They have built HG and MG models displayed, and can be used to get an idea of what the size differences are. From what i can tell, prices of the Master Grade kits were within 10 dollars (give or take) of what i could find online, but it works out because there is no shipping fee, you get your kit on the spot, and you help out your local business. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Gundam markers, paints, nippers, tape, drill bits, and other modeling tools are sold here.a week agoFantastic selection of model kits, primarily gundam but there’s something for everyone, the people who work there are incredibly kind and wonderful to talk to4 months agoThe dopest frikking giant robot model kut store ive ever been to ! Prices are awesome,employees are sweet owner is so cool ! Wide variety of gunpla and accessories other brands as well besides gundam ,30 min missions,30 min sisters,starwars models,toki doki,etc paintmarkers detail pens and paints and custom rub ons and stickies and then some !!!!!!! When you visit be nice dont open boxs as theyve factory seals ,ive been buying gunpla models since i was 9 that was 40 years ago not a single kit has had anything missing ever ! If you dont buy anything it ok thank whoevers working for being there !

I am a huge fan of Lego and so is the rest of my family! My biggest piece of advice for any other Lego fans is to join the LEGO VIP loyalty program for special promos and a way to earn points for discounted purchases. I love taking a peek in this store anytime I’m in the area. Everyone is always incredibly friendly and they make the entire experience memorable. Thank you! Can’t wait to return again soon!
Normally this location is a 5 but, today I had a sassy cashier. Did not appreciate how this person was speaking to me and asking questions and in front of my 6 year old nephew. I was very close to say to forget the email address reward info just to get out of there faster. I’ll come backto shop, after driving 2 hours from home, but if i see this cashier again, i will refuse to be helped by him.
David, Luis, & Daniel were so sweet!! We rushed in right before closing to just browse. Happily found the cute sunflowers I wanted to peek & was shown the cute wall-e & eve combo. I adore that movie but My boyfriend hadn’t seen it and they recommended we build it together & watch it for a date night. Love!!! We plan on doing just that! Thanks yall!
I have been to other Lego stores but none left me with a reason to leave a review. The moment we entered the store a gentleman greeted us and informed us about the dream creature creation in-store and also that since it was our nephew’s birthday he could get a free Lego mini figurine. I had just planned to window shop but then my sister found a baby grogu keychain I just had to buy it since multiple staff there were very nice. Thanks so much Lego I hope to return again in the future.
