a month agoA1 Giant Team This store was mostly open over the Christmas and New Year break. Thank you for giving your time. I wish I needed more than just a seat clamp. If it’s any consolation I did get to ride my bike.3 months agoI’m a bit torn on this place, each time I went I dealt with either a complete moron who knew nothing about bikes, or a skilled mechanic. Unfortunately the morons appear to outnumber the skilled workers, who I really feel sorry for because they are great guys and are trying hard.My bike was returned in worse condition after my last service service and the chap who brought it out to me dropped it on the ground, scratching the frame. More supervision for the less skilled workers would solve a lot of problems.

I recently had an exceptional experience at Giant South Yarra that compelled me to write this review. The staff at this store went above and beyond to address an issue with my Giant Propel,
I must admit that I unintentionally provided misleading information during my visit. I presented the original receipt, which may have led them to believe that I was the original owner of the bike. Despite this mix-up, the team at Giant South Yarra demonstrated incredible professionalism and a commitment to customer service that far exceeded my expectations.
The specific issue I faced was related to the power meter on my bike, and the staff not only diagnosed the problem but also worked diligently to fix it. Their technical expertise was spot on. I appreciate the fact that they took the time to address the issue thoroughly, ensuring that my bike was in perfect working condition before returning it to me.
I would like to extend my sincere apologies for any unintended deception caused by my presentation of the original receipt. The staff at Giant South Yarra handled the situation with grace and understanding, putting my concerns at ease and focusing on providing a solution to the technical issue at hand.
The outstanding service I received has solidified my loyalty to Giant South Yarra. I can confidently say that my next bike upgrade will be purchased from this exact store. The guys had expert product knowledge, gave me a thorough outline of how they would approach fixing my bike, some indicative ball park figures of what it would cost to fix (before they’d seen it). They then found a cost effective solution and got the job done quickly and updated me regularly. Amazing customer service
I’ve been a customer for over 10 years. Great people, service is always over and above what’s expected along with quality up to date knowledge and advice. Cam is the best mechanic you will come across.

I voted 3. I have had a great experience with purchasing an e-bike here, and for a very competitive price. However, I am not confident this is the right place to go for help if you have issues with your bike.
I can explain my experience. I contacted them by phone mentioning that I could not update my software via iPhone, and therefore, I could not use the Giant app to control the level of assistance and other things on my e-bike. I was raising a potential warranty issue, and I was told that it could have been my old phone or my old iPhone software (which was not the case because I have recent hardware and up-to-date software). It was definitely a bike issue. I was told that I should have waited until the next service because my bike was still working. But this is not good enough. I paid thousands of dollars for a high-quality e-bike and I want to use all of its features. Also, I didn’t really want to wait and pay for the service to fix something that is not my fault. The end of the story is that I went to another place that services Giant bike, and they found it’s a Bluetooth module issue, which is going to be replaced under warranty. It was all sorted within a week for no charge since it was a problem of the bike.
So, no, I don’t feel like this store can support me if I have issues with my bike. Having said that, I would definitely purchase a new bike here and go for a regular service. No issues with that.
Can was exceptional in his customer service, very knowledgeable and informative and prepared to go the extra yard to answer my many questions. A very relaxed and pleasurable buying experience.
