a month agoWent for the first time not knowing what to expect. It was insanely busyLoads of parking. Didn’t want to try the drive through as the queue was insane.
The staff were excellent. Very helpful with helping us order and the place was relatively clean.
The food came out quickly. I got the chicken cali spicy which was really really nice. It was quite big so I don’t think I’d get the chips next time as it has chips in it. My wife got a beef burrito which she liked but said was not as nice as the chicken.
Will be going back for sure
3 months agoI ordered 2 burritos and one chips on the GYG app with an estimated pickup time of 9:17pm. At the drive thru window on 2 occasions we got asked for our order number and after all of that we got told to wait in the waiting bay. We watched at least 3 cars drive through the drive thru after us while we were waiting in the bay. We got handed the food at 9:31pm, 14 minutes after the estimated time for TWO BURRITOS and ONE CHIPS! The person that gave us the food admitted that there was a long wait and I can’t seem to see a reason for the wait for only two burritos and one chips when multiple cars had driven through after us. The chips were room temperature, soggy and pretty much completely lacking the chipotle seasoning, not hot meaning that they were most likely left out for a long time while I assume the burritos were being made. Upon opening one of the burritos, it completely fell apart showing that no effort was put into actually making the burrito. One of the burritos was completely covered in grease and was over packed with rice. Not only was my drink completely warm, one of the two burritos was a bloody small burrito when two large burritos were ordered (picture attached). What is the point of using the app to order in advance to pick the food up from the drive thru when there is an extended wait with sub-standard food. I would have left home significantly later if I had known this would happen. I will most likely be going to the Elsternwick GYG from now on due to the poor food quality and wait time when I had ordered in advance.2 months agoIt’s pretty decent Resturant. Ordered nachos and chicken burrito. The wrap is warm but the chicken inside is a bit cold. Ruins the experience but overall very nice2 weeks agoOrder no. 2025 – I ordered Bowl with Veg and Guac – No Cheese, No Mushroom but got chicken burrito with cheese.worst experience as it was pick up order – ordered vegetarian bowl with no cheese and mushrooms and got chicken and cheese. Its not cross contamination. Its simply ignoring the details. Poor service by not even refunding the order. Pathetic.
5 months agoWow. What a rip off. Two tiny tacos and what they class as medium chips with a drink. $17.80!! Horrifying rip off for the price. The order was beef mince and we got pulled beef. First time and last I will come here.

I recently visited here for a quick bite, and I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. Despite the bustling crowd, the staff provided exceptional, lightning-fast service, both in preparing orders and delivering them.
Now, let’s talk about the food. I opted for the chicken soft tacos, and they were an absolute delight. Fresh, delicious, and perfectly tailored to satisfy my taste buds. I can’t get enough of their tacos; they leave me wanting more every time.
I wholeheartedly recommend Guzman y Gomez to anyone craving authentic Mexican cuisine. It’s a must-try for food enthusiasts looking for an outstanding dining experience.
Great place for a quick and tasty Mexican meal . Has all the basic choices and their burritos are fresh and healthy. Must try the nachos if you are looking for something nice and quick. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Parking nearby shopping center. Friendly and attentive staff. Service was quick. Price was reasonable but tacos could have been better with more meat fillings and chips a bit more crispy.
Mixed feelings overall about this one. A wide menu with lots of good selections available – most offerings seem pretty fairly priced. The staff were friendly and worked very efficiently – the issue is that I went during a midday lunch rush, and for staff it is essentially mission impossible. The line practically reached out the door and there were around twenty people waiting for orders. So despite having a lot of staff on, and staff working really well and putting out orders very fast, it’s just impossible for wait times to not be long. Probably waited around 15 minutes for nachos. The nachos themselves were delicious, and found comfortable seating in the restaurant. The crazy lunch rush does mean staff aren’t really able to do jobs like changing bins and wiping tables (I don’t blame them). Overall would recommend, just try go during a non rush period.
Had a solid meal at this Mexican spot near the busy train station. Food’s a bit pricey, but you won’t leave hungry – portions are big. Ambience is alright, nothing fancy. Service is super quick, perfect for a fast bite in the midst of the hustle and bustle. Overall, good if you’re up for tasty Mexican, don’t mind spending a bit more, and want a speedy meal.
Good fast food option with big food portions; especially If you like mexican combinations. However some of the foods aren’t so big and rich on Mexican flavors and spices that you might be expecting, which is a shame. But overall, Service is good, food is good and considering the atmosphere, 4-star sounds like a fair rating for this place.
