2 years agoThe service here was really good. They have given their menu a bit more variety and the fried chicken now really does rival that other big chain fried chicken place. But this chicken is significantly less greasy. As always the Ripper subs and Flayva’s are great too. Chips still solid as well.23 months agoFood is typical red rooster quality, decent for the price. However The team working in the evening are extremely rude. They will leave you waiting at the counter and then glare at you while trying to order. Ive literally never been treated so rudely just for existing.2 weeks agoVery old established takeaway chicken restaurant. The building is well , showing its age, the toilets, and floors showing the endless tradie traffic on walls and floors, dirt and gease in the toilets, furniture basic and robust metal/ laminate tables marked. The food was comparable to other Rooster venues, tasty but average. ok, for a quick meal on the go.2 years agoWent to buy fried crispy chicken via drive thru., only to be told to come in instead and wait for 15 mins. Not really hungry so i didnt mind waiting. Went inside and ordered my fried chicken. After minutes of waiting and already past 15 mins. Lady said here’s your 6 chicken wings. I said those are not mine. Then she realized she gave my fried chicken to someone else by mistake. Waited again. No sorry whatsoever.3 weeks agoFood quality has gotten worse and worse it’s gotten to the point where I will only eat at other red roosters service is average at best. Tables and floors are nearly always filthy.

I’m a local and have eaten here a few times for dine-in and takeaway. Front of house are always kind and helpful, seems the back of house is always a bit slow or the order is off sometimes. Been a bit disappointed with portion sizes or food temperature a time or two but otherwise it’s alright. I usually get the quarter combo, and the chicken is usually quite nice. Sometimes the chips are a bit off which is one of their well known aspects of the RR brand. Don’t forget the ice cream, hopefully yours isn’t melted and refrozen like mine.
Follow up visit 28.08.23:
Out of stock for most soft drinks, floor covered in crumbs, rubbish bin overflowing, toilet out of order, the remodel looks nice but the basics are overlooked. Staff in back constantly yelling “shut up”… place needs a leader. Had to change rating from 3 to 2 stars.
It’s been 3 years since I left the window. As I sit here in the waiting bay it seems like an eternity. Days turn into nights, nights into day and so on and so forth. Will I get my meal today? Who knows?! Will the order be right or will it still be wrong even after my long wait. What is even real anymore?! One thing I know for sure, I’ve seen the lights change 17 times since I’ve been sitting here in the waiting bay and I still haven’t seen my food. What’s a guy gotta do to get a rippa roll round these parts?!
Edit: When they finally came out with my food they threw in 3 extra tenders for the wait, so I guess its not all bad!
I asked for rippa roll and they gave me a rooster roll i had no time for going back and asking them to change it so I just ate some of it and then I see on the back it was marked at 10:38 at some point in September who even knows when it was made it got given to me at 12:50pm and was soggy and tasted like I was eating wet bread which is very gross I’m very disappointed
Next time if you guys have old food can you just throw it in the trash!!! Instead of giving it to customer
I had huge expectations from red rooster since I’ve been seeing people love the brand. The burgers were really bad to the point that i didn’t even wanted to finish my one burger. Their new nuggets were “okay” not too tasty. Their fries were honestly not fresh “‘probably yesterdays fries” . Their chicken in burger was undercooked and it was so bad man. Everyone complained about the service but yes its veryyy slow, wayyy too slowww. They need to improve so many things, KFC, mac is too much better than red rooster.
Was surprised to see Red Rooster on Uber eats at 12:30am. Excited to receive my order of a roster roll meal. chicken was great, gravy was good, chips were decent. The rooster roll itself was flavourful but incredibly soggy. Only thing I wished was that there were other drink options other than soft drinks- such as juice or even water. Overall satisfied !
