For a Country Bakery you think it would be amazing customer service…. the lady this morning shouldn’t be working in the customer service industry. Definitely won’t be going back just for that reason alone. Disgraceful

Look, when these guys are under the pump they can be a little blunt (using the words who’s next aggressively) when it comes to service. Otherwise you will love the food it’s great.

I went with Astrid Buche on a little date, I enjoyed the pies with her. It was an amazing day and the pies were a treat.

Still great 40 years later. Apple pies along with everything else is delicious. Still as good as my memories

This Bakery is one of a small local Gippsland chain that provides a range of baked savoury and sweet goods. the pies are good, if not outstanding, nice pasties and some very tasty small sausage rolls of various fillings. for lunch there is usually a choice of roast meats, perfectly cooked and served in a generous sized Bun with gravy and seasoning to request. since Daffodil closed this seems about the only takeaway roast meat sandwich available in Traralgon. A traditional range of sweet treats from the cabinet features the staples of country/regional bakeries with all the usual suspects. not an urban patisserie, but with arguably the largest selection in Traralgon, usually fresh and good quality. a single indoor eat and run table and a couple of smaller bistro tables on the footpath complete the scene. staff always seems friendly, cheerful and often patient during the busy smoko and lunch time rush.

5 Replies to TOP 10 Best Cake Shop near Traralgon, Victoria

  1. Delicious home baked pies and pastries. Large selection of hot pies and sausage rolls.
And lots of slices and sweet treats too.
    Large seating area. Good coffee.

Only negative was the terrible state of the bathrooms upstairs- dirty walls , floors and mirrors that have not been cleaned for several weeks (?).
And worst of all no hand soap provided to wash hands – what do the staff use for hygiene?

  2. One of the best coffees we had. Great ambience on a cold, rainy and wet Sunday morning. We need paper plates or something. It was odd eating off the food wrapping paper bags

  3. Would have been a 5 but the bread is a tad overly expensive, as well as and inept worker taking 15 minutes to make a decaf almond latte! A bit outrageous, but great food and environment just choose better staff. Shanks

  4. I usually have a lovely experience here, but today the customer service was dreadful, I had to ask repeat my order twice and I was still giving the wrong pie and sauce, considering it was not busy or noisy!! When I recieved the pie it was cold. Rest rooms need a really good clean as well
Lovely display of food but the service certainly brings the place down.

  5. Really nice staff.

Poor range of filled rolls and sandwiches. No option to choose your own filling.

Sausage rolls were half-sized and double the price.

In terms of a cafe, all fur coat and nae knickers.
