in the last weekVery cute low lighting place with wooden seating. Pretty selection of pastries, most notable being the Kürtösh (recommend the cinnamon one). Would be 5 stars, but last time I went in, they wouldn’t serve even though there was still a bit of time before close10 months agoThe sweetest place to visit, full of sweet people and even sweeter delicacies. I had the brownie cookie with peanut butter filling … wow! I almost died. It was incredible. I wanted to order 6 to go, but had to restrain myself. There are other great looking options, and the whole underground decor is really funky. Open late for a lovely evening sweet snack experience! We’ll be back ?7 months agoThis was a great little discovery hidden down Globe Lane… felt like stepping into a genuine European bake house! There’s always a very tempting array of amazing cakes… my personal fave is the decadent Espresso Butter, Almond Chocolate Roulade!??These cakes are all bought by weight… so you choose just how big a slice you really want!?
If you’re there while they’re actually making a Kurtosh, the smell of baking is so amazing that you’ll be ordering one for yourself… just be patient as it takes around 10-12 minutes!
FYI… a Kurtosh is a traditional Hungarian bready pastry known as Chimney Cake. Boasting the perfect harmony of caramelised crispy flaky outer with soft inner walls, usually rolled in cinnamon sugar, nuts etc. The cylindrical yeast pastry is often sold as street snacks from carts all over Hungary.
So… seek them out and enjoy the tasty treats!?
4 months agoLoved the vibe inside. The cakes are amazing. Lovely coffee. Only thing that annoyed me was one of the staff members seemed like he didn’t want to be there and didn’t ask us if we wanted takeaway or mugs or what size. Also seemed understaffed as there were heaps of mugs and plates on each table and we had to remove it ourselves. Besides that I had a wonderful time there and I’d definitely go back. Great place for a date3 months agoTiramisu is overnight, sad sad .Oreo cheesecake is pretty good, first try, love it!

I have been here three times and I have been impressed every time. I knew this shop by chance from the walk pass. From the outside, it looks warm and friendly, the inside is very classy, the environment inside the shop is also nice, the staffs are friendly. As a chocolate and sweets lover, I can feel real chocolate in both drinks and desserts. There are many types of chocolate. We could choose the chocolate dip for the churros, the taste was a little too sweet for me, but I thought it was just right for most people. Highly recommended!
Everyone here is so lovely and the sweets are always top tier! I come here all the time with my friends and this morning was delighted to be served by Karen, who went above and beyond for me during my chem study session.
San Churro as a franchise awesome.
The quality within the Wollongong premises is very high, and have never been disappointed with any visit I’ve made to the premises.
My usual order is a large milk hot chocolate and churros for one. Their hot chocolate is to die for and feels like a warm hug mixed in with a bedtime story. Their churros are an experience that most people should be trying.
I’d highly recommend eating the churros with the cookie butter dip.
They do you have a number of gluten-free and vegan options. There is also a range of tapas if you’re not wanting something sweet.
For me, this place is one of my go to spots for a bit of sweet tranquility with a Spanish /Latin vibe. I will be going there very soon and I would highly recommend people going there.
Came here after dinner and we wernt dissapointed again, always a treat? the shake was very sweet but definitely good for someone with a sweet tooth, the warm lava cake hit the spot with the cold ice cream
Came in and got a gift bag put together, the truffles and macarons were fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this place. Thank you to friendly staff that helped me with the gift bag.
