10 months agoEverything seafood, it’s here. Whether you’re grabbing a fillet for dinner, feeding a large group, or you’re hungry for a seafood lunch; SamTass will be for you.Between 11 am and 2.30 pm Wed to Sat you’ll be able to dine in. If you want some fresh seafood to cook at home, the range is huge.
Crayfish are cooked fresh for Fridays. Staff will even clean them up after cutting them in half. The fresh fish produce is clean and looks healthy and well filleted.
in the last weekTerrible product and service. I purchased about a dozen cooked crabs from them for an event. They were clearly old and overcooked. The crab meat was like a paste. I was embarrassed to have started serving them. 3 of them were opened and discarded, the rest were put in the freezer to be returned.Upon returning to Samtass to ask for a refund, they would only refund the weight of the remaining crabs instead of refunding the amount shown on the receipt.
They then told me to call the office to speak to Tony, the manager, which I did. I left a message with the office for Tony to call back and have received no response.
I now regret spending over $1k with them this Christmas and will be taking my business elsewhere and sharing this experience with others.
a month agoRang ahead to make sure they had what I needed…22 December so place was packed. Waited in line for 40 minutes to find out they didn’t have what I wanted. Really annoying. Staff not overly helpful. Drove to a competitor not far away who had exactly what I needed and staff there were friendly and helpful…not sure why this place is so busy…better options elsewhere.a year agoDELICIOUS comes at a cost. We purchased a fair amount of seafood for new year the grand total was 280$ we didn’t realise the lobster was $119 a kilo not per lobster as the sign was misleading in store. The bugs had eggs on them also which kinda creeped me out and 1 was extremely over cooked. However overall was quiet delicious if you want to splash out.a year agoVery busy on the lead up to holidays, but they have a great traffic management system and queue. When the queue is about half full inside the tent it was 15 minutes to get served at the counter. High quality produce locally sourced.

Well set out shop with friendly & efficient customer service. Great assortment of fresh, frozen, cooked & smoked seafood although if you aren’t there in the morning you will likely miss out on the more popular seafood like fresh oysters & fresh local squid. A few fish like flathead were excessive in price in my opinion at $55 a kilo but majority of seafood was well priced.
I love coming back here for the fresh seafood, i know not all seafood you need is here but as seafood lover, i am happy because its all fresh. They have fresh and frozen seafood. The customer service also really good, the young girl who assist me on my order and the lady at the cashier. They dis amazing job on customer service.
One of the finest fish ?? u can buy in whole of SA under one roof.
Located on a huge area, u can find sea fish , river fish, fresh or cold storage fishes. This includes all types of fishes, big and small, crabs, lobsters, prawns, squids and the list goes on and one and seems endless. Have a look at the prices for a general overview and the 50 diff types of fishes listed. Car parking is on a massive area and is for free.
The system is pretty simple. U go in, press the button on the ticket machine, and wait . When the no is called a dedicated person will come over for ur requirements. U can get it sliced / cut based on your requirements . You have the option of buying frozen sea food to chose from also. A great visit, neat clean tidy and fresh ?????
Brilliant place! Huge selection of fresh seafood, as well as frozen. Friendly people and really good prices. Plenty of free parking on-site.
Whole fresh Australian scallops. Dinner’s organised! ?
Suppose to sell fresh fish not broken fish waste of $40 never going back.
