a week agoBy far, the best Vegetarian spring rolls I’ve ever had. The food was delicious and the service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend the shallot pancake, edamame, and vege fried dumplings. We came here for the first time tonight, this is our new place.4 months agoAmazing food, you have to try the Pork Belly and POPCORN CHICKEN OMG and so many different dumplings, only had the poached ones so far and they were so tender and juicy. Really Relaxing and Chill Vibe, great Service from the Young dude at the counter, also not too bad a price for good quality Asian food.Forgot to take photos at the beginning whoops.
11 months agoWe dined at 6:00pm on a Saturday night. We didn’t have a booking, but I would recommend one, such is the popularity of this wonderful little restaurant. It is quite small, but that’s part of its charm. We were seated immediately, with 3 tables out of about 12 available. The decor was clean, uncluttered and appropriate.
The staff were very attentive and friendly, suggesting a table and then returning soon after we sat down to take our order.
The menu was interesting and whilst not super extensive, there was enough to tempt us to come back to try the various offerings.
We selected the pork belly main meal pork belly steamed dumplings and fish fried dumplings. These arrived in staggered time, allowing us to start eating each one before the next arrived. They were served very quickly and were very hit as they hit the table. They were all very tasty, but the fried fish dumplings, when combined with the vinegar from the bottle in the table, was a super star.
The drinks menu offered appropriate accompaniments and the price of the evening was very reasonable.
Kudos also to the town planners of Ipswich, who are certainly bringing the city’s centre back to life, with a gelato place now across the street!
6 months agoWas great. We have only tried here a few times since they opened, really great. The staff were really great and we tried panfried, steamed and poached!!!The paper was a good old, classic chicken and asparagus, which we tried poached.
Good support these kind of restaurants in Ipswich to make sure that they stay alive, so we have a great choice in the CBD.
5 months agoReally disappointed. Went once a few months ago and it was excellent. Wrote a review to reflect that.I lived in China for some time and was very happy to find something so authentic and well made.
Returned today, different cook, literally reheating pre-made dumplings. Not hard. Managed to overcook AND burn all of them, didn’t flip them properly either. Buhao!
Turned nice dumplings into inedible garbage.
I also paid for and ordered the black truffle Xiao long bao. Was given overcooked cheaper pork ones instead (I know because I ordered them last time). Literally ripped off.
Also very overpriced. $45 for inedible mush. Will never be eating here again. Such a shame.

Friendly staff welcomed me to a relaxed setting on the balcony of Riverlink Shopping Centre, overlooking the Brisbane River. Dining can be inside or outside under cover, depending on your choice. I enjoyed a breakfast of eggs Benedict on sour dough bread with hollandaise sauce. The eggs were the wonderful orange of free range eggs and very flavoursome. The coffee was hot and the flavour was robust.
Ordered food on Uber eats literally not a single sole in sight & you’d think the food would be at least average, nope cold bland undersized overcharged food. Not happy at all & all Uber would do was refund me $1.70 for a $39 meal!! Imagine I’d ordered a steak or something I ordered a parmy & I think a 5 yr old would still eat more
I absolutely love coming to Rashays, at Riverlink North Ipswich . The service is always great and friendly. I can sit and relax, have a nice cold beer & a yummy meal!
Great food, great service, and a very relaxed environment, in a large area with lots of comfortable tables. Besides that, very nice ambience music!
Warning for how long drinks take would be good when you’re waiting in the heat of summer.
I ordered drinks and food and it took 20 minutes before I got a drink. I was extremely thirsty on a hot summer day. Managing to find a server for attention was difficult and when I asked for at least the complimentary water while I waited I was assured I would get one. It NEVER came.
When the drinks finally arrived I had to drink them a lot faster than I wanted. But I will compliment that the drinks made were lovely. Potentially worth the delay if you’re visiting on a cool day.
The food however was not worth the cost. I watched the food sit for 5 minutes before it was actually collected. Their lasagne is strong with tomato and not a lot of anything else, there is no balance or offset with cheese sauce or white sauce. Nor was there a lot of mince. If you like tomato flavour then you may enjoy this tomato paste on pasta.
Garlic bread…. the bread was really lovely and so was the butter and garlic, but unfortunately it really overpowered a bit by the salt. I’ve never actually experienced a place putting salt on their garlic bread, let alone so much that it championed the butter and garlic.
Overall don’t be in a hurry for drinks. And maybe drinks should be the main reason to visit.
