The AUD/USD Exchange Rate: What You Need to Know

The Australian dollar (AUD) and the US dollar (USD) are two of the most traded currencies in the world. The exchange rate between these two currencies, known as the AUD/USD exchange rate, is constantly fluctuating. There are a number of factors that can affect the AUD/USD exchange rate, including:

  • Interest rates: When interest rates in Australia are higher than interest rates in the United States, the AUD tends to appreciate against the USD. Conversely, when interest rates in Australia are lower than interest rates in the United States, the AUD tends to depreciate against the USD.
  • Economic growth: When the Australian economy is growing faster than the US economy, the AUD tends to appreciate against the USD. Conversely, when the US economy is growing faster than the Australian economy, the AUD tends to depreciate against the USD.
  • Political stability: When there is political instability in Australia, the AUD tends to depreciate against the USD. Conversely, when there is political stability in Australia, the AUD tends to appreciate against the USD.
  • Commodity prices: Australia is a major exporter of commodities, such as iron ore, coal, and copper. When commodity prices are high, the AUD tends to appreciate against the USD. Conversely, when commodity prices are low, the AUD tends to depreciate against the USD.
  • Speculation: Speculation is the buying and selling of currencies in the hope of making a profit. When there is a lot of speculation in the AUD/USD market, the exchange rate can be more volatile.
  • News events: Major news events, such as natural disasters, wars, and political elections, can also affect the AUD/USD exchange rate.

Here are some additional things to keep in mind when considering the factors that affect the AUD/USD exchange rate:

  • The relative strength of the Australian and US economies is one of the most important factors affecting the AUD/USD exchange rate. When the Australian economy is strong, the AUD tends to appreciate against the USD. Conversely, when the US economy is strong, the AUD tends to depreciate against the USD.
  • The interest rate differential between Australia and the United States is another important factor affecting the AUD/USD exchange rate. Conversely, when interest rates in Australia are lower than interest rates in the United States, the AUD tends to depreciate against the USD.

These guys are doing frauds, I have been waiting for my transaction to get settled for last 5 days, initially they were blaming my bank but I have already checked with my bank so there’s nothing left to do from my bank. What they do is they hold customers money for days to just earn interest on them. Now I know why Western Union is loosing its credibility and reputation because they’re not serving their purpose. All they can do is blaming others that includes all the 3rd parties they’re dealing with. Long story short, don’t trust Western Union because they’re not the same anymore.

Spent hours trying to send money on my mobile. The writing was bad to read being so small. Rang the phone number provided, but not much help. I was told I was filling the text wrongly and they couldn’t transfer it for me. I have now tried this site, only to fill out this survey.
