a week agoWe visited Dosa Hut in Gold Coast, after having trust that Dosa Hut in Melbourne serves amazing food. We have had the same food itmes mentioned below in the review at the melb branch, whoch has always been amazing.1. Our menu was taken back real quick, and we were told to decide everything at one go. Instead of ordering multiple times. However, the issue was we chose items that existed on menu, but were unavailable in stock. Shocking service.
2. Paneer 65 was served in watery gravy, and the guy who served us did not even bother to suggest, when we requested it as a snack and we even asked him about it. Genuine staff would recommend or suggest. It was disappointing to have curry based snack instead.
3. When he served us biryani, he dropped rice on the table while serving- but did not bother to clean it, after saying he’ll come to clean it. Despite, of the store not being busy at that moment.
4. We ordered Dosa Hut special Vodka Pani-puri, which was mentioned in the category of cocktails, and we were given pani-puri like a usual snack, with vodka in the pani puri water. Don’t understand how can we get pani-puri as a complete snack when we ordered a cocktail. The noodles I ordered were bland, not spicy- after mentioning the spice level medium. It was extremely sour and bitter. No way a pani puri vodka cocktail. Incorrect categorisation, and lack of explanation by staff, despite of knowing what we need.
5. Each time we had to ask for anything we had an upset face, not happy to serve.
The guy didn’t do his job properly, highly disappointed with the customer service. We’d never come back again.
5 months agoIt’s my first visit for lunch? I had Masala Dosa for $15.95 and Chicken 65 gravy for $17.95. I had no idea what flavour both of them were ? It was a big challenge to try them for me? Dosa comes 3 dipping sauce (?) and some stuffing in the Dosa. It…. was….. Sooooooo good? Enjoyable dipped each sauce? I love it??? Chicken 65 was lovely too??? It’s called Indo-Chinese ? It’s not Indian Indian, it’s not Chinese Chinese…very interesting ? I’d love to try another dishes and Indo-Chinese as well. Lovely customer service ???3 weeks agoOne if the worst food to have food. I went earlier this month and purchased one Gobi 65 Rice and the gobi was raw and not fried properly. I informed the girl at the counter and she was arguing that you don’t know gobi 65 is served this way only. What a worst experience I had. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there.2 months agoDosa Hut in Gold Coast is a culinary gem that brings the flavors of South Indian cuisine to the Australian shores. Our dining experience at this establishment left us thoroughly satisfied and craving for more.To start our meal, we ordered the Pav Bhaji, a popular Indian street food dish. The rich, flavorful vegetable curry served with soft pav (bread rolls) was a delightful way to kick off our dining adventure. It was well-spiced and full of robust taste, reminding us of the bustling streets of Mumbai.
Next up was the Chicken 65 Biryani, a fragrant and delicious dish. The tender chicken pieces were perfectly marinated and accompanied by a well-seasoned biryani that was packed with aromatic spices. It was a satisfying and filling entrée that showcased the culinary expertise of the chefs.
Samosa Chaat was another highlight of our meal. This fusion of crispy samosas topped with spicy and tangy chutneys, yogurt, and fresh herbs was a burst of contrasting flavors and textures, making it a true delight for the taste buds.
The Chef’s Special Non-Veg Dosa was the star of the show. A giant dosa generously stuffed with succulent and well-spiced non-veg filling, it was a unique and indulgent creation that we couldn’t get enough of.
While the food was undoubtedly the highlight of our visit, the bill for our feast, totaling $65 AUD, was more than reasonable considering the quantity and quality of the dishes we enjoyed.
In conclusion, Dosa Hut on the Gold Coast provides a mouthwatering journey through South Indian cuisine. The diverse menu, skilled chefs, and affordable prices make it a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic and delectable culinary experience. We left with our taste buds satisfied and our wallets unburdened, making Dosa Hut a memorable dining destination.
a week agoHi everyone,If you are going by looking at reviews 4 stars DO NOT GO THERE.
“If you like your stomach please stay away from this gutter place”.
I was there couple of weeks ago, I ordered chicken Manchurian with gravy, it was like i am eating just garlic ONLY garlic. Food was not freshly made and chicken was not properly cooked.
Pathetic service staff full of attitude and non interested, food delivered but i had to request them for plates twice. I had serious problem in stomach after for 2,3 days.
No Air con was working when it was 35 degrees.
Worst experience, never going back and won’t let any of my friends and family to go there !

Liked their Biryani, which was unbelievably good, spicy as authentic. Also tried Goat curry which was bursting with flavours. Atmosphere was awesome, service was excellent. Only thing they could improve in these two dishes or others they to cook their chicken and meat slightly more, as was not that tender which I was expecting.
We went to holiday in gold coast and found this good Indian restaurant. I loved biryani, tandoori chicken , kaju curry, naan, roti. Staff are very friendly and atmosphere is good. When you are travelling for more than 3 days in gold coast and bored of bread and crave for biryani, this place is good. Price are bit high compare to Melbourne but it’s same eve6where in gold coast.
Restaurant offered an exceptional dining experience. The food was delicious, with a rich blend of authentic Indian flavors that left a lasting impression. The service was equally commendable, characterized by attentiveness and a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, a great choice for those seeking a delightful Indian culinary adventure.
We couldn’t wait more to have the first bite of the amazing and delicious food. Ready enjoyed the food and service. Must visit place for best Indian cuisine here in Gold Coast.
Service was okay, staff is friendly but the food is not the same in the quality.
We ordered dahi puri which was good, Special Dosa was not bad, noodles were cold and weren’t served with any sauce, paneer tikka was marinated with the acchari sauce but was not cooked properly, we could only taste the masala.
