I haven’t had Indian in so long and I wish I could be closer to Overlander! Their food is divine, we wanted to finish it past the point of being full. The service was lovely too and the restaurant itself was really pretty. Can’t recommend them enough 🙂

I had come before it was very nice but today feel so disappointed. One of the worst food and service I received in fine dining. Staff didn’t care about our query. And worst chef they got don’t know how to cook. Please think twice before going.

One of the worst indian restaurant ever been. Order was placed for 10 people, entree was fine but they got main meals within 5 mins for 10 people and curries, masala was not even cooked properly. Worst part was we complained and the staff didn’t even care. Order food worth 350$ but left more than half of it.

Really nice indian food, so good we ordered twice on our visit to Orange. First ordered in house as wanted to get a good feel for what we were ordering. Was so happy to see peshwari naan on the menu as only ever been able to get in the UK. Food was so tasty especially the Goat Masala. 2nd time we ordered by phone and picked up. Got home only to find we only got 1 of the 2 naan breads we ordered and paid for, had read on another review to be careful of take away as they’re been short changed on their delivery too. So a sneaky business model. But great food. Check your pick up folks.

Lovely Indian restaurant. The food was authentic Indian food that was reasonably priced for the amount of food. For a week of cold winter nights it really hit the spot. The staff were lovely, very polite and always had a smile. I will be recommending this to all my friends.

  1. This is the best Indian restaurant in Orange. I had dined in all therestaurants in Orange, & this one serves the best Indian food.

An Indian family owns this business, and the head chef is an award winner chef.

The ambiance is amazing, with instrumental music in background makes the dine in experience amazing.

They cater veg & non-veg both and the test of their food is delicious.

Being a vegetarian, I have tried almost all veggie dishes and each one isamazing. No complain at all.

Loved the food, loved the ambiance and above all loved the services.

Try somthing whats on the black board as tge black board has weekly specials. ??

  2. Quite possibly the BEST Indian food I’ve ever had.

I’ve been to this restaurant twice with my girlfriend. It’s a lovely date spot. The interior is beautiful. Simple, clean and classy.

The first time we came here we were still dating. We ordered the lamb samosa, lamb biryani and butter chicken.

The lamb biryani was my favourite and quite possibly the best biryani I’ve ever had.

The butter chicken and lamb samosa from what I remember was good, but the lamb biryani was absolutely in a league of its own.

The bowls they were served in didn’t look very big, but believe me they’re much bigger portions than they look and we were stuffed.

In our second visit, we ordered the lamb biryani (hot) again, lamb samosa, beef vindaloo (hot) and two garlic naans.

The dishes were definitely chilli. But they were delicious. I would describe the chilli as a dry, spice type of chilli.

I would only recommend hot if you’re a chilli lover! As my nose was running and I was sweating bullets. I had to take a 5 minute breather after finishing it.

They also provide you with white yoghurt sauce that stops your mouth from burning if the chilli gets too much. That sauce is in itself delicious.

The naans are thin, they come in fours. When they’re first served they are hot and crispy. Make sure you order a curry that’s got plenty of sauce to dip these in.

Every time we came here the staff was incredible. They’re very friendly, polite and helpful. Always smiling.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Amazing value for money.

Do yourself a favour and try this restaurant if you’re in Orange. (You’d want to make a booking as there almost always booked out).

  3. We wanted to give this place a try after reading the reviews. We were impressed by the very attentive waiter! We were given more water without having to ask and we were offered yogurt to add to the curries when we said it was a little too spicy (we had young children). The food was delicious and full of flavour. The adults enjoyed it but may be too spicy for those who don’t tolerate much. The complimentary soup/drink at the start was a very nice touch.

  4. Reading the other reviews, all I can say is I 1 million percent agree. This is the only Indian you should eat at in town. It is hands down the best I’ve had in years (outside of India).
Have eaten here a couple of times and can honestly say, ignore the menu and grab as much as you can stomach from the blackboard. These are not your usual “western Indian” though you will not be disappointed in anyway.
The flavour journey of every dish is simply off the charts and a must to try.
