Avoid working for this company!! They promise you a lot of money, but it’s not true. Working on a boat for almost a month for little more than $2000. The atmosphere can also be horrible if you come across bad crews. It’s not worth the investment. Several of us have been taken in. I was advised not to work there, but I did anyway, and I very much regret it. It took them 1 month and 1 week to pay me… Anyway, they asked me to come back and work with them because they were happy with my work, but I won’t be going back – you can see why.

I worked for them for a fishing season. The performance was good but I was totally underpaid and exploited. I asked to have my payslip of course no answer and ATO has no record of my taxes. This is a company to avoid absolutely.

  1. I love buying dozens of oysters and taking them to the beach for a picnic with the family, we get an assortment of other foods from other places and just enjoy the the sounds of the waves while diving into a variety of snacks.

Mr. Barra sells the best oysters in Darwin by far, absolutely awesome quality for a decent price. Their immense seafood variety at their store is incredible. They have live crabs, frozen crabs, varieties of octopus, squid and fish. Scallops, clams, anything that is in the ocean they have.

Their oysters will continue to be apart of our regular family picnics!

  2. Fresh seafood is such a small luxury. Freshly shucked oysters daily, frozen selection is great and condiments are amazing as well. Staff are very knowledgeable and super friendly and helpful. Great shopping experience. Doing scallops this week.

  3. The staff are friendly and helpful. I have been here a few times and it never disappoints; great variety of fresh, frozen and cooked seafood. They will even clean the fish for you. The prices are very competitive.
