There is not a high enough amount of stars I could give the team on this review. Their customer service, honesty and car knowledge is very handy and exceptional. I had a mechanic in Warrnambool incorrectly fit my tail-shaft center bearing. They had destroyed my tail shaft and upon returning had quoted me for a total replacing of the T/S without labor costs as it was a “common problem” they had encountered at their shop. I was very disappointed and skeptical of this quote and customer service, so I eventually got in to Lowes to discuss what can be done and gain a second opinion. Upon their inspection, Lowes discovered the T/S had been incorrectly handled and was destroyed as a result of the previous mechanics work. Before calling me and delivering the band news, Lowes had called around and found another tail shaft for my vehicle and had it on the way in order to fix my shaft ($300 less than the other mechanics proposal!). I could not have been more grateful for to the team at Lowes and in particular Tim, who stayed after closing hours for me to retrieve keys and the car. Tim has 25 years of knowledge and experience and it really shows. I am so glad to have gained a second opinion and a great car mechanic for life. PLEASE, if you are worried about your current mechanic, just change and wait for Lowes. I was driving around with a destroyed tail shaft, vibrating car and flogged center bearing for 3 weeks all on the advice from my previous mechanic. DO your research and go to someone who knows what they are doing, not someone who relies on a CHAIN BRAND name to charge you an arm and a leg and leave you to have an accident. The Team were terrific starting with looking after my other half by driving him into town after drop off. The reassurance from the offer of emergency service should we need it was great. Brilliant service and even better pricing. We had a hell of a lot done to our family car before a big trip, at very short notice also. After dropping the car off in the morning they done the service, brakes, timing chain and water pump and even dropped the car back to us all before 4.30. Couldn’t ask for better service then that and a lot cheaper then what I was expecting. Highly recommend
