I’ve taken 3 different cars there for servicing and like I said they can do simple services but when simple things go wrong with my cars they could never find the problem and then they charged me for parts I didn’t need. I know they put on that they are such a nice family business but I’ve been with them for a few years now and they’ve always charging me for things I don’t need. Dropped my car in at 8am and left it there for the day. Called at 3.30pm and told will call when its done. CAlled at 4.55pm and they said it will be a bit longer. My car wasn’t ready until 6.20pm after I’d been waiting out the front for 15mins. They close at 5pm so I do expect my car to be complete not long after and to be informed if it is going to be later than closing as I think is reasonable. Was offered excuses and an apology but really do not know how noone bothered to tell me how late my car would be even when I called 5mins before closing. I needed to pick my baby from daycare by 5.30pm and luckily a friend was able to help last minute. I get it that things go wrong in the day but not communicating with your customers and giving them options (pick it up tomorrow, take it today with no work done and bring it back) is not acceptable. Both mechanics I used where very reliable and knowledgeable. Very honest in there essesment on purchasing cars. Would highly recommend. That’s why I went with the second car option and not the first.
The missus mum called out a tech for her car –
The tech arrived and said that the car not starting was because her head gasket had a leak in it that was flooding one of the spark plugs and that is why it wouldn’t start????? He charged $570 for that.
Obviously the car did not start after he left.
He said he will call her back soon – He never called back so she started calling him and he kept dodging the calls. Only after she turned her phone to no caller ID did he pick up.
The tech now says it was her battery all along and it will cost her $125 to come back out to fix the battery.
Also if you take a minute to go through some of the negative reviews you will see whoever is in charge of the google page leaving rather snarky and rude comments to some of the 1 star reviews. Would absolutely avoid this branch. I cannot speak for the other Auto King branches.
Thanks Dan for taking care of our engine light issue, came earlier than expected and was thorough in diagnosing the issue.
Booked two vehicles in for major service, for 11.30 today no show at 12 so call the office to be told it has been moved to 1.30. Then a phone call later to say can’t make it today can we reschedule for next week. After taking time off work not happy. Ask to speak with the manager and told to email your complaint. Great business

Just had a minor service “completed”.
Technician cancelled scheduled service time on day of scheduled service. Rescheduled to following morning to start 0730-0800h, so we arranged for this time. Next morning, technician rescheduled time again for a few hours later, claiming not having the parts. The irony of this explained below as the “parts” could only of been an oil filter.
Upon completion of minor service, which for this company is only oil & filter change, with anything else being a “check” only. I noticed the Air cleaner element was recorded as checked on invoice, yet there wasn’t even a finger mark anywhere near the air cleaner housing despite fine film of dust. So I pulled out air cleaner (took all of 15 seconds) & saw how dirty it was. Tryin calling technician but he sounded very stressed out as he hung up on me. So I texted a picture of air cleaner to technician only to be told, “Yes it is dirty needs replacing”….
Never told us that or recorded on invoice as needing to be followed up or done despite stating he had checked it. Can only wonder what else was “checked” but not done. We ended up paying $305 for an oil change and a lack of confidence that any actual mechanical checks were done as recorded on the invoice.
I tried calling the company only to be told any issues need to be put in writing to the management. Will not use this company again.
