This went on for 4 days and the customer service was pretty bad. The older fellow seemed to be having a go at me due to my car heater not working. Why do you think I am getting my car fixed then? However, they did give me a petrol burner SAAB for the meantime as a rental vehicle with no additional cost other than the $200 fuel it went through in 2 days. And they did fix the issue i had with the LPG system in my car. It has been working great ever since. I was told it was a major compressor failure and needed to be replaced along with condenser, evaporator, valves etc and would cost in excess of $3500 for parts and at least $2500 for labour totalling around $6000 to repair. Took it somewhere else and they discovered a leak in the pipe where the valve threads into and fixed it for $750. Had I gone ahead with the Specialist Auto quote I would be out of pocket $6000 and still have no working a/c afterwards. So I rang Steve on the desk. He agreed it was a mis diagnosis. The radiator of our X-trail broke down in the middle of our trip and all the workshops we called were booked at least for the next 2 weeks. My Volvo XC60 had a whistle noise issue, and I took to 2 different mechanics since May, none of them found what the noise is. I wasted $600 for changing tensioner pully , but it was not about it. The issue was about PCV valve, Autoteknik sorted it out and now it works beautiful. Had a quick steering wheel inspection for road worthiness a couple months ago and was a quick in and out. Bloke that served me was a great lad and really helped by inspecting free of charge. Great service and best result I could’ve got 🙂

I used this service to get my car’s Roadworthy Certificate, which was required for transfering the vehicle registration from another state to Tasmania. It was very easy to make a booking at RACT Autoserve on a day and time that I wanted and the inspection and report was completed within an hour.
The next day I went back again around 4:30 pm without any appointment, to get my new number plates screwed on to my car and they did it within 15 minutes and didn’t even charge me for this service!! People here are very friendly and helpful. Thank you, much appreciated your help.
