- Reviews:Took recommendations from other Jeepers around the town who’s been having great experience with them to come here. Just got my Jeep back from them – totally I’m switching to them for future service/jobs. Genuinely good, knowledgeable and honest mechanics who took care of my baby jeep so well. The service was done properly, the noted issues were all resolved. No unnecessary additional items,Fairly priced. Good recommendations provided and great communication. Would recommend to all my friends!By Chloe C (3 months ago)I first found Mario and 5A Mechanical through a special they had on Groupon, when they were first starting out and have never looked back. Mario is an excellent mechanic, uses only quality parts, oils, lubricants etc, has always looked after me and my cars over the years, and has always done above and beyond that of yr average mechanic at fair and reasonable prices. Highly recommended.By James Compressor (3 months ago)The real deal! Incredibly hard to find a mechanic which doesn’t cost you an arm or a leg, and it’s even harder to find one you can trust. I went to 5A after hearing some great reviews from some mates , and I was having some exhaust problems on my Suzuki vitara 1992. They informed me that they would have to get a car part shipped in from Sydney to fix the exhaust – around $500- or, they can take it just down the road to a muffler store who can do it for about $150. A few hours later the job was complete, and I get a call saying that they had taken the car down themselves, and that all I had to do was come back to 5A, where my car was now waiting. Really, top class service from people you can trust. I don’t think they even charged me for the transport of the car to the muffler store. Thanks 5A! I will be coming back to you guys for all of my car work.By xavier (5 months ago)Brendan and Mario picked up a few issues (Bearings and steering) that if left untold could eventually compromise safety. They are well equiped, experienced, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and do genuinely care about your vehicle and your safety on the road. 5A mechanical repairs has earned my business and respect. Thank you gentlemen for taking care of my Hilux ?By Robert Berrell (2 weeks ago)I switched to 5A as I was unhappy with my previous mechanic and the car drives a lot better after Mario and his team serviced the car. Honest upfront pricing I as very happy and will be back again.By Nathan Goldstein (4 months ago)

- Reviews:This is an awesome place as far as mechanics are concerned. I do not live nearby but I drive to them as their service is excellent. When I moved to Canberra my Subaru co-workers told me to service my car there. I was never disappointed. First, they are very respectful of women (which for some mechanics is a challenge, when automobile and gender are of concern, some are still in the 50s); second, their courtesy to find a workable solution even though is out of their service range is always impressive. Highly recommended. I have my sticker on! ?By Ana Penteado (7 months ago)These people are amazing. I went in after closing time as I needed to have a brake light replaced. Without any hesitation the two fellows came out to my car and replaced both brake lights in a matter of minutes. Refused payment and sent me on my way. I will definitely go back with any car issues in the future. Would definitely recommend this business. Thank you Teckworkz.By Margherita Siciliano (2 months ago)Highly professional I am so happy with their service. To diagnose issues of a car especially Subaru some dealers here in CBR charge a lot of money. I came to know that it doesn’t take even 5 minutes to do that from Techworkz Automotive. That too they do it for free. Will continue to avail services from them henceforth.By ogen ongchuk (2 months ago)Brought my 2007 Liberty H6 in for header / exhaust work and a dyno tune and it drives really well now. Its been months since I got it done and there has been absolutely no issues. Car feels way more responsive and torquey and definitely puts a smile on my face driving it. Great work!By Lukbacca (2 months ago)From humble beginnings in Tuggeranong to the impressive shop in Fyshwick, Techworkz has now been a staple in the Canberran Subaru owners vocabulary for a good 15 years. Mick and the teams attention to detail and professionalism goes to show that their pride and joy is in maintaining your pride and joy. Good old fashioned customer service pairs with an abundance of knowledge in all things of the horizontally-opposed variety and will leave you properly satisfied with the service you receive. On very recent note, Techworkz accommodated my unwell Boxer on short notice and had it back on the road in record time.By Daniel Bryan (2 months ago)

- Reviews:Great little business. Very busy but quick service. Good customer relations. Not condescending to women… great stuffBy Leone (6 months ago)Very unprofessional, dis-organized, and biased. Stubborn on the tiniest nature of thing when doing a road worthy. I think they want to prove that they are very quality conscious even if it hurts customer for their money, time and energy. I checked the same issue with other mechanics and found that not at all an issue. I gave them one star because they have one positive side that anytime you go in the office hours, they do the road worthy which otherwise could be a problem for others who wants a pre-booking advantage.By Bashir Hussain (9 months ago)non-booking NSW ACT rego check straightawayBy Shaniya Huang (5 months ago)Awesome! I went this week to to ACT inspection. I wish I new about them earlier. This is how the service should be done quickly. They also replaced by light cover free of charge. I insisted to include into the bill.By Alex K (10 months ago)called and asked for a check up of a car I wished to buy and was told it was $75 to get a quick check over of the car. got to the place and there was no such offer and it was $300 for a check over of a car because they also wanted to check the carpet??? Very unprofessional, very poor service, and was talked down to when I asked why the price was $300. Very disappointed. Definitely wouldn’t take your car here unless you want to be ripped off by a bunch of old jackass men. Also very poor location and unhygienic. Wish I could give 0 starsBy Hayley Derry (a year ago)

I would like to give Michael a big thank you what a gentleman, I had 2 globes out in 14 seater van and he fitted them without charge and was very helpful. Also pointed me in the right direction to fit rear vision mirror. Good to see there still is good customer service out there
These guys are legends! I have been going there for the past 3 years and no complaints at all. They always deliver a great service! Besides that, I remember once when I had to do a big service due to my car had reached 200.000km on the clock, and they had gave me a quote, but in the end was much cheaper than expected because they said that the car was fine in certain aspects which shows their honesty. I highly recommend to everyone!! Thanks for the amazing work that you always deliver. Cheers.
We’ve used mycar for our regular car service at least three times and they’ve been good. On our last service after we settled the bill, they replaced our windscreen wipers at our request for no cost, and a week later when I noticed an unrelated tyre puncture, I drove in and they tested and fixed it within 15mins for no cost. It’s hard to get good service like this these days. Highly recommend!
Visited Canberra for a day and had an emergency near closing time. My oil indicator popped up and I was concerned about driving all the way back to Sydney without checking it out. Luckily the guys at mycar were happy to help. They checked my oil levels, noticed that I was almost completely out (!) and then filled me up and sent me on my way. I was in and out in 15 mins and all at no cost. Very friendly and forgiving and super generous. Thanks guys. You are life savers!
I had an unexpected car emergency last week and was able to make it to my local mycar in Braddon. I showed up without an appointment with a car in a bad way and Connor and the team were so helpful. They were honest about the condition it was in and some possible outcomes and held on to the car to do the repairs. I was kept informed throughout the process and now have my car back, running smoothly again. Definitely recommend!
